When the local judges have the local guy ahead you can say something like that. But when the local judge has the local guy losing and the visitors have him winning you have no arguments. He didn't win because he was in Puerto Rico. He won because he did a great job that night.

 

Santos isn't a super star. But he is a very awkward fighter. A lot more difficult than he looks. He can make anybody have a bad night.

even margo told santos after the second fight before the result was given, he told santos from across the ring "You win, you win." it doesn't get more real than that. it has nothing to do that they were in PR, but most fighters beat margo the first half of the fight anyways, that's always been his style. the cuts were due to clash of heads due to margo being a conventional and santos being southpaw, which is normal.

yea santos is not very exciting, but his style is very affective and is more of a defensive counterpuncher type, but he seemed more affected and hurt by margo's punches than margo was by santos's crisper, cleaner punches, that is why the fight seemed very close. alot like the first half of the cotto fight.
