    I was thinking of making a topic like this. Here's a list of rivalries from around the world:

    * Mexico vs. USA
    * Mexico vs. Puerto Rico
    * Mexico vs. Philippines
    * Philippines vs. Thailand
    * Philippines vs. Armenia/Australia (Vic Darchinyan)
    * Philippines vs. Korea
    * USA vs. England
    * England vs. Denmark
    * Panama vs. Nicaragua
    * Brazil vs. Argentina
    * Venenzuela vs. Colombia
    * Ghana vs. South Africa
    * Korea vs. Japan
    * Cuba vs. Dominican Republic

    Mexico and the Philippines have had a rivalry for some time, but not at this level with Pac vs. Barrera/Morales/Marquez and etc.

    Luisito Espinosa vs. Manuel Medina/Alejandro Gonzalez/Cesar Soto were the rivalries in the 90's. Luisito Espinosa of the Philippines fought each of the three Mexican fighters twice. Luisito Espinosa also fought several other Mexican fighters.

    Philippines vs. Thailand: Manny Pacquiao fought several Thai fighters in his career. Filipino fighters normally take on Thai fighters these days for regional championships.

    Philippines vs. South Korea: Gerry Penalosa fought several South Korean fighters in his career. Filipinos often clash with South Korean fighters in the last 20 years.

    Philippines vs. Japan: Flash Elorde (1960's) fought several Japanese fighters in his career. Filipino fighters and Japanese fighters also fight each other often today.

    Philippines vs. U.S.A.: Pancho Villa (1920's) fought several American fighters in his career. This rivalry no longer exist.

    My favourite rivalry is the Puerto Rico vs Mexico 1 no doubt.

    With a potential Cotto vs Margarito bout on the horizon should be very fun indeed.

    Mexico VS Puerto Rico is the biggest and most exiting rivalry in boxing by far. Any time you put an Aztec warrior against a Boricua warrior, the boxing fans are in for a treat. **** same thing when you put a Mexican vs a Mexican-American.
