Pulev vs Chisora ticket sales

Bet Earn is wishing he could clone Johnny Fisher to have him fighting on every show to shift a pile of extra tickets.

 

I really like the O2 as a venue for boxing but even if I lived in London I wouldn’t pay to go to this. Horrendous undercard and a pointless rematch of a boring fight between 2 past it plodders.

 

Probably a decent % but it’ll undoubtedly be harder for his dad to shift tickets up north than it would be in London.

 

For what it’s worth you only have to look at the guys Twitter to see an agenda. It makes no sense for high level promoters to give tickets away unless they are sponsorship comps. Otherwise all hardcore boxing fans just wouldn’t buy tickets and wait for them to come free. They would be happy with the 7k paid tickets and leave it half full and upgrade the ticket then give away a few thousand extra.


It’s the same reason Frank and boxxer leave there shows half full also. The only reason this card is at the o2 is purely because it was held by Matchroom for a Connor Benn fight that didn’t come off. Rather than lose the booking deposit and book another venue which likely isn’t available anyway it’s cost effective to run the show half full

 

To be fair to Hearn he’s done what no other promoter has done or could do - fail to sell out a Canelo fight in Vegas. Takes some doing.

 

2 out of the 3 fights I was interested in got cancelled last minute, **** poor

Undercard was ****. Literally went in for the main event. Missed the rest. Good fight though, better than expected.

 

Glad you enjoyed the fight and it did develop into a good fight.

 

Undercard was always going to be terrible, became even worse when Felix Cash pulled out (4th time he's done this!) and the early Madrimov stoppage. Main event was decent though. A very even fight.

 

Is Cash going to appear on a Boxxer show in the near future ?

 

Yeah - bit of a waste paying full price ha. But was a good excuse for a day of partying and main event was decent at least…

Though tries to buy a pint and they tried telling me bar was closed (was about half way through the fight).

Fortunately a nice bloke who was in the middle of ordering got me one.

Didn’t stink of ***s like it does when full either and no queues for doing gear off sinks…not that I judge that but it was more pleasant.

Hahaha, I see half the posts in this thread have been deleted even though everything was 100% factual and verifiable and didn't come remotely close to breaking any rules. Clearly there are one or two sad tossers on here who go crying to the mods anytime people start discussing certain topics. Pretty pathetic really.

 

Should've kept the curtains open, it was a decent fight.
