Alot of the time these punch stats don't tell the whole story and can be very misleading, but having watched the fight these seem fair. Chisora won AT LEAST 8 rounds. If THAT chisora turned up against fury, my money would be on chisora.
Horrendous decision. Helenius is a good fighter and may amount to a top contender at the level Peter was if he does well, but he was exposed by Chisora. He had no answer to a fighter prepared to stay in his face all night throwing punches. The blueprint was there in the Liakhovich fight, Chisora just did a better job than Sergei did and kept the pressure up for 12 rounds.
I agreed with Muzza. Punch stats usually dont tell a stroy of a fight. In this case, however, it is 100% spot on!
I don't have too much faith in punchstat's accuracy considering it's just some spastics at ringside with free lynx clickers. Those are really one sided though and reinforce how much of a bull**** decision this was
Don't need punch stats for this fight. It was plain to see Chisora outlanding and outclassing Helenius.
Punchstats aside, this fight was a clear "robbery of the year" candidate. Even Margo could see this was a robbery. I only rate the Lara vs Williams fight slightly higher.
There is absolutely no case for Helenius winning many of the rounds. As already mentioned he threw less, landed less, didn't hold the centre of the ring, didn't hurt Chisora, didn't land the better punches. He did **** all. Only thing he did reasonably well was take punches and proved he had a decent chin by taking about 20 solid hooks every round. Maybe that's a new scoring criteria? The Lara decision was also bad and another robbery, but this wasn't just bad it was pathetic.
I really dislike Chisora but he put on an excellent performance. Some of the things he showed in the rematch with Sexton were there, but with much improved stamina. At no point did Helenius ever dictate the pace of the fight. Dereck out-jabbed, out-worked, out-landed and out-fought Helenius. It wasn't even that Helenius did better work - sure he landed a few good shots but after the second round they barely shifted Chisora. It was Chisora doing the sharper shots - big hooks to the body and head. It was, simply put, an excellent world-class performance and Dereck got jobbed. You don't need numbers to see who was in control.
why aren't clear robberies like this overturned? Why should he have to keep a L on his record for a fight he clearly won, i'm not saying over turn close decisions but clear bull**** ones.
horrible decision. Chisora won that fight clearly. It should have been a UD and each card by at least 2 or 3 rounds.
