Real beefy cruisers are 200. Faux cruisers are less.

You obviously don't like real cruisers, you want dried out semi light heavies.

You made a false statement buddy. Best to own it rather than dig yourself into a deeper hole.

You've accused Cruiserweight legends like Qawi, Holyfield, Toney, Jirov, Momeck, Bell etc of being "Loserweights" or "Faux cruisers" for fighting at the 190 lb limit. See what kind of trouble you get yourself into and the nonsense you blurt out when you try so desperately to discredit Canelo.

Tbh Dawson was the one to offer the fight at 168 without a catchweights, Warde simply acknowledged him.

    On Makabu vs Mchunu:
    https://box.live/fights/makabu-vs-mchunu-ii/
I should also note that the WBC SIlver belt is on the line at 200 lb too in Riakporhe vs Durodola. The WBC have been recognizing 200 lb fights as cruiserweight because no one is fighting at 190 lb.

Of course Canelo didn't ask the WBC to reduce the weight limit for cruiser to 190 lb. But the idea of reducing cruiser had basically flopped due to a lack of support from other orgs, and even when the WBC continued with the bridgerweight experiment, they actually left the cruisers at 200lb despite previous announcements:
    https://wbcboxing.com/en/bridgerweight/
    https://wbcboxing.com/en/wbc/documentos/

I'm not saying that Canelo or his team came up with the idea "let's drain Makabu to 190", but I do think:
    a) that the WBC would have been fine with Canelo vs Makabu at 200 lb, seeing that Makabu vs Mchunu, Riakporke vs Durodola and numerous other ranked cruiserweight fights were going to be 200lb.
    b) Canelo vs Makabu provides the opportunity for the WBC to implement the 190lb weight limit (this is actually very difficult unless the other organizations follow suit, because there would be very few 190lb bouts and it's hard to have a ranking without people fighting at that weight).
    c) the 190lb is part of the reason Makabu is an attractive proposition.

It can be both a risk and a cherry-pick to be honest. If GGG had gone up to 168 and fought someone other than Ward (e.g. Chudinov, Dirrell, Hart, etc.), or went up to LHW and fought someone like Eleadar Alvarez when he had a belt, you would have agreed that it was both a challenge and a cherry-pick.

Like I said, I'm not hating on the fight. It'll be a fun fight, and Makabu is not the biggest cruiser and says he can make 190lb fine.

Actual cruisers are 200lb. Canelo is desperate to be a Loserweight champion.

    Let's put this in perspective.

The supposed ''greatest fighter of our generation'' getting repeatedly rocked down to his soul and the soles of his boots and badly hurt by jabs, uppercuts and hooks from a way past prime PED free senior citizen GGG even though the former was juiced to the gills on Reynoso's roids and was much heavier than him.

Not sure how to respond. The division was 190 for most of its existence. Qawi, Holyfield, Jirov, Gomez, etc were all 190. In recent years it was bumped to 200. To your point, the real champ at CW is Briedis who is a solid 200 pound CW that will likely make the jump to HW before he finishes his career.

My point is that Canelo wants to drain somebody down to an unfavourable weight yet again

I'll fight AJ tomorrow at a catchweight of 205. Everything is above board, it's a true heavyweight fight.

 GGG landed some good shots in that highlight reel, gotta give the G man credit where it's due. But lets remember, this was still pre-prime Canelo, and he stood in the pocket all night Fighting GGG Mexican Style. When you go to war like Canelo did that night, you're bound to get hit with some good shots along the way. I think you hold Canelo to too high of a standard Serge. We can't expect perfection from the man. He was in there with GGG the most feared Middleweight Champion of our lifetime. And Canelo ate GGG's best shots like Skittles showing that he has one hell of a chin. That rematch was far from a flawless performance from Canelo, but it didn't need to be. It just needed to be good enough to get the job done. And throughout 12 hard rounds, Canelo dished out a lot more punishment than he took. He built up a commanding lead heading into the late rounds and did well to hold off GGG's late comeback attempt.

The first punch in that clip, the uppercut, Canelo turned his head before it landed and rolled with it, that one merely grazed his ear. The last clip from round 12, GGG bit hard on that feint, but he turned that into a good uppercut. Good improvisation skills by GGG there. GGG boxed really well in that 12th round, one of his better rounds. While still getting peppered throughout the round, he showed a lot of courage and heart down the stretch.

From a historical standpoint, how many times has a fighter jumped two weight classes and fought the #4 fighter (or higher) in their debut in that division? Roy? Maybe Leonard? Maybe every so often in the really low weight classes?Anybody else?

For sake of argument lets say this is a cherry pick by canelo? Name another fighter rn who would pull something like this? Clean out a division then jump weights to fight another champion.
