Holmes last!!!!! That's a ****ing joke right! No way Tyson ever beats Holmes in his prime.

    Holmes
    Lewis
    Holyfield
    Wlad
    Tyson
    Bowe

Most overrated heavyweight of all-time: MIKE TYSON

Most underrated heavyweight of all-time: LARRY HOLMES

Some people are nothing more than laughable. Tyson beat a paper champion for the belt and defended the title against past thier prime greats and lesser opposition, and now hes better than Holmes, Lewis, and Holyfield? :-( Holyfield, Lewis, and Holmes are definatley ahead of Tyson. They all beat great fighters in thier primes and was dominate champions against top 10 heavyweights.

If I remember correctly he was filming ascene for ocean's 11 during his "training" and also showed up to Africa very late, there was alot made of it BEFORE the fight.

Ok, fair enough, he was 1 punch KO'd by a couple 2nd rate fighters. But you have Tyson ahead of Lewis who was not only KO'd but beaten down badly by a 2nd rate fighter in his prime. Tyson was great in his prime but his match-up from 85-90 are very debatable in the class of opponents, not to mention how badly he slipped towards the end when Lewis was older than him.

    Wrong.

I am totally with you about Tyson being overrated. But I dont think any incarnation of Larry Holmes beats a Prime Mike Tyson. Just dont see it.

Prime Tyson's strengths were incredible speed, amazing power, and unbelievable movement (head and body)....just the types of things you would need vs a fighter whose best weapon is the jab (albeit the best jab of all time....but the point still stands).

And no, Holmes is far from underrated. Most people have him in their top 5 All Time at HW (myself included). But the division was powerfully weak during his reign....tho he dominated it. Much like Tyson did in his weak era.

Again, not a joke intended...not a joke uttered.

Why would a prime Holmes not beat a prime Tyson? A 25 year old "prime" Tyson lost to Buster Douglaus. Wait a sec...a 25 year old "prime" Tyson got ****ing manhandled by Buster. Holmes Tyson would simply be a replica with Holmes' jab (probably the best in HW history), reach, height, generalship, chin (need I remind you of the shot he took from Shavers), and intangibles.

Not hating on Tyson, but he is simply too small for Holmes in his prime. And everybody tends to overrate Tyson because of his great physical skills, but Tyson had none of the intangibles to make him truly great (namely heart and smarts).

    P.S.

I wasn't really referring to you sues. This was more for the people who had Holmes 3rd or 4th as an ATG out of these 6 fighters.

Bowe is a large part of the reason why the belts are split to begin with. He publicly backed out of fighting Lewis so he could pursue easier matches.
