    Let me clarify for you...

Yes the rule changes are truely horrible but.... Dana White gets a big '**** You!!!'

Every cloud has a silver lining type thing.:D

I see past this unlike you my friend. It's no big deal, they move it and Canada never gets another MMA event.

    Course I was. :yep

On a serious note, I hope this is sorted out. You have to wonder just how clueless the guy running that commision is though. How can he not know how much money a UFC event is going to bring in?

And changing the rules really isn't an option. You might aswell do a different sport.

Last I heard the event is going on as planned. The guy running the commission is a new guy and I guess he has this ill-conceived idea that he needs to let everyone know that he is the new sherif in town. Dumb ****.

If it wasn't for the "frenchies". There would be no boxing or MMA in Canada.

White said he wants to be a part of the meeting because he can’t conceive of a way that Quebec would turn its back on the millions the event would pour into the local economy. White said the UFC’s own studies indicated that UFC 84 injected between $12 million and $15 million into the Quebec economy; he said Bell Centre officials told him their estimates of the economic impact was up to $25 million.

“If they stop this show from coming there, they’ll get murdered,” White said. “Look at what the economy is like now and we’re talking about pumping more than $10 million into the economy from a single night. They won’t have a night like that for the rest of the year.

“They’re going to have all their restaurants, shops, malls, hotels filled. We’ve already been there and we’ve already done a successful event. There were no problems, not fights, no riots in the streets. How can they turn us away? I just don’t see how they can, which is why I’m so positive at the end of the day, the show is going to go off like we planned.”

White said the UFC has an alternate plan in case his confidence is misplaced. The show will remain on April 18, but White said it would come back to Las Vegas and be at the MGM Grand Garden.

There is no way Montreal can afford to lose this event in this economy.Even the French know the value of a buck.

Yeah, knees and elbows to the head aren't any big deal, but what if someone's toe gets dislocated? That would be the TRUE end of modern culture. WTF.
