ithink this bigger draw **** is not really important in boxing its just a side note to an event......

people should just sit back and enjoy the fight whether that be in person or be sitting on the couch.....

who cares aslong as its a good fight.

Exactly. Just fun to see some haters hold on to any rumor they can find.

Hatton isnt a US draw yet did 900k stateside (1million in Britain), Delahoya did twice as many PPVs as he had previously with Mayweather. Pacquaio couldnt match these numbers

Mayweather needs a big name for a massive PPV, then your talking 1-2million buys, but hes guaranteed 500k against anyone pretty much now

Ok Walk, since you seem to be a big fan of PW, given the chance would you fly to Vegas to see a PW live??? Would drop everything and say Vegas here I come?

True....But I think the slow sales of tickets give a good indication of what PPV numbers will be. Floyd has been out of the spot light for at least a year....at his all time high he was everywhere the "lime" light was. His fight with JMM wouldn't have done what PAC vs Hatton did soley based on PAC being active and performing at a high level. Floyd taking a mega fight with JMM off his retirement wasn't very smart given his long layoff. Floyd is the draw and he'd do good numbers regardless of whom he was fighting.....but not what Floyd is use to after his incredible year fighting Hatton and Oscar.

I mean.... i honestly dont have money like that right now..... to just drop everything and fly out to vegas ... the floyd thing would have been easy because my dad would have been out there for work so i would have stayed with him and whatever else

but if i did have enough money & the time fit my schedule & it was a good opponent... I would do it... I'd Fly to vegas to see pw...

but pw aint ready for vegas yet... I dont see him ever really being big like that unless he literally flushes out everyone from 147-160

No it doesn't give a good indication of what the PPV numbers may be. Baldomir/Mayweather didn't sell out yet made as much PPV buys as Morales/Pacquiao which sold out. That's just one example out of many.

I would like for you guys to prove that those numbers belong to Floyd~ there is no way you can tell me that Floyd drew those numbers simply becuase they were stateside in the hatton fight, Most hate Floyd enough in which they will buy a PPV buy to see if he losses that does not make Floyd the draw.

Exactly! I know plenty mother****ers who would just get a couple of people together at their crib, everyone chip in a couple of $ to see if PBF finally gets his ass kicked....How do we know those numbers really belong to PBF??? :huh

Because as far as Oscar, Hatton, Cotto or even Tito you would see the big following because their fan-base went anywhere to see their fights.....In PBF's case I dont see it....

when it comes to piggybacking off bigger names and bigger draws, floyd is the undisputed king.

but if he does not have a major marquee name to piggyback off of, his drawing capabilities, as we just learned from the Marquez fiasco, are highly questionable.

No man, Floyd doensn't have many fans but he is a household name. The guy that doens't know **** about boxing will buy a Floyd fight but he sure as **** isn't going. That is his draw.
