Im just curious if you believe the purse split between Pac and Mayweather should be 60/40 for Floyd what should the purse split be with each of the following fighters against Floyd if they fought next?

    Cotto
    Bradley
    Pavlik
    Cintron
    Martinez
    Berto
    Khan
    Senchenko
    Williams

    bottom line..who cares!

pac-floyd or nothing. make it 50-50 because everything else is bull**** and an excuse.

the bragging rights by far outway anything else for this fight.

The general rule of thumb is their career high payday times 2/3, except for Cotto who got paid well against Pac, he'd get career high times 1.5. That would probably turn out to be 10-15% in most cases but they'd get 2-3times what they ever made

There are very few fans who believe floyd has asked or is sticking to a 60/40 split.

The source is bull**** and has no credibility.

I'd like to know what, in retrospect, people think the purse split should have been between Mayweather and De La Hoya, considering Floyd has outperformed DLH in PPVs against both their common opponents...

Do you mean their highest payday plus 2/3 of it?

Even if Floyd never asked for no such split there are a significant amount of fans here defending it if it were true. This question is aimed towards them.

No it should be 50/50. What I find interesting and Im a fan of both, is that the Mayweathers talk about easy the fight is for Floyd, it represents by far his biggest payday, but its taking so long to make, and so much red tape to get through. Far more than Mosley or Marquez, which is leading me to believe that either Mayweather is just negotiating this fight so carefully either to **** off Bob Arum, which could very well be the case, or he truly feels Pac is a threat to him.
If the fight doesnt get made, I have to believe Mayweather really doesnt want to fight him for whatever reason.

I think the pac fight should be 50/50 for the sake of making it. I don't actually agree that Pac brings the same $$ to the table. People saying, "just shut up and make it!" ring hollow to me. If YOU were in the position both these fighters were, you would fight for every scrap in the negotiations you could. This is millions of dollars, their careers potentially, legacy and a whole lot of other ****. You don't have the perspective to tell either side what they would/should do because you have no ****ing idea.

The only one who would come within a sniff of 30% is Cotto.

I agree but as for your list you aare very much underestimating Khan's drawing power. He's probably the highest one on the list other than Cotto.

This fight is never, NEVER going to happen. The 60/40 spilt is just another bull**** rumour and Pacquiao wants no part of Mayweather.

He's just been voted fighter of the decade - why tarnish a 'legacy' by being made to look ordinary?
