The guy won the belt vs a Champ who wanted to fight at 155 and defended it once vs a guy 1 division south then dropped the belt.. at the time the most Canelo ever weighed was 154.5 he never even came in at 155 the Cotto situation was unusual and on Cotto not Canelo... a better question is why your complaining about Canelo asking for a catfhweight why couldn't GGG agree to 157 to make the fight when he was closer to his prime? Hopkins did it, William's did it, Martinez did it?? I've seen Canelo move up and down in weight to make fights.

Also who are these fighters than Canelo was massively bigger than a you say? Khan and who else? Who did Canelo drain?

I'll be honest every time I watch both Canelo vs GGG fights lean draw in the first fight and a close but clear Canelo win in the second. That said I was trained as a defensive counter puncher and I tend to appreciate that style more than most. But I can't help but feel like GGG gave them away. How in 2 12 round fights do you throw less than 30 body punches? When you were KOing guys to the body? Canelo was going to the body and tending to undo all the work GGG did with his jab. Very interesting stylistic matchup, when one has a commanding jab and the other is landing power shots. Sure to see some wide cards, but there is absolutely no excuse for that Adelaide Byrd card.

I'm starting to think you're a bit slow. I never accuser him or breaking the rules I accused him of stacking the deck in his favour with a BS demand he pointlessly added in to give himself an added advantage.

I don't like this. I think the standard rules of a fight at a weight category are all we need and anything else is sneaky gamesmanship the like of which I do not approve.

I could go on and on about Cotto's antics too if that would make you feel any better?

As for the above man for a Canelo fan you don't seem to know much about him.

The more I find myself repeating the same stuff to you over and over, the more I realize you’re the one that’s slow or you’re simply playing silly. With everything in Kovalev’ favor, it’s not unfair for Alvarez to request something in his favor too. If it was problematic, Kovalev would have made it clear before and after the fight.

You have no problems approving everything in Kovalev’ favor, but when Alvarez requests one thing he’s the bad guy all of a sudden.

Don't be dense all your life.

If Canelo wanted to say I'm not going to 175 as Kovalev is too big for me I would of understood and said fine.

He still didn’t and went up there with all the advantages to Kovalev and knocked him out. You can’t handle what happened and feel better hanging on to useless trash that even Kovalev isn’t complaining about.

AHEM!!. Callum Smith is the WBA super middleweight champion. This tin pot version that Fielding held and Canelo now has is a joke title. Thats like saying "oh I just beat Canelo because i beat some bum that borrowed his shorts and looks a bit like him". Canelo has one nothing at SMW and anyone who knows anything about boxing knows he didnt beat GGG. He really is the new Mayweather, create false history, get dodgy decisions and run away

I'll bookmark this for the next GGG / Ward 164 debate.

You know, it really wasn't all that long ago that most people on this board agreed that catchweight fights for titles were bull****.

    WTF happened here?
