Most world class fighters lose at least once, maybe twice, and this gives their haters something to bite on. What drives Calzaghe's haters REALLY crazy is that he retired undefeated and they never got the chance to gloat over a loss.....hence the numerous threads we see vainly attempting, and failing, to discredit his achievements

Additionally, the haters ALWAYS overlook that Calzaghe was just as many years past HIS prime, as were Hopkins and Jones, when he fought them, and Hopkins has proved subsequently that he is still a very formidable fighter

Man you guys are really hard on Joe, the SMW division has only recently attracted top talent and I would find it hard to find 100 SMW better than this man . . .lol! I think Joe is within the top 10 SMW of all time . . . that makes him an ATG in the SMW division. it is only the fools who think he should be considered p4p ATG that are crazy

Joe was a great fighter, maybe not an all time great with the pedigree of some of his rivals but he was a bonafide top 10 super middle. Maybe it wasnt the deepest weight class of them all but as it stands you don't get much better than that.

I'm sick of seeing all these threads discrediting fighters who have achieved alot in our sport, the training that these guys took up would make you sick and tap out like ankle lock. Show some resPect towards them, when you achieve something in the sport yourself then you have the right.

This, although I have to say he does have the pedergree of his rivals. Still though, it's not hard to give some respect to all of these guys. Celebrate the good things instead of critisizing the bad things you don't of which know the whole story.
