If you understood boxing which in your case you don't, then you would understand why.

This is disgraceful stuff by GGG, no way to spin it. It's not like Ward is a huge 168 pound fighter. If he was willing to face JCC Jr. at 168 who's bigger than Ward then he should face Ward at 168 to.

    :deal

Fact is, team Triple Duck is ducking Ward and using the same rationale that the big names @ 160 are using to duck Golovkin. Ward represents a LOSS - and an especially bad one - for team Triple Duck and they KNOW it. How in the hell is 168 ok for Froch and Baby Chavez but NOT Ward? Team Triple Duck looks even more silly with every statement...

Ward will simply continue his crusade through social media nad never make any concessions to ever fight GGG or Kovalev. Ward will lobby himself right out of these fights and all of you will continue tripping over yourself to see who can defend him faster.

GGG and his team are lying to the fans. You and all the rest lap up the lies like creamy cake.
They want no part of Ward.

Ward directly approached To Loaeffer and he said - don't blame me , blame the trainer.

Loaffer threw the trainer under the bus:rofl

You have to call it like you see it some times. There's no excuse for GGG wanting to have this fight at 164 period.

Considering he came in at 172 for his last fight, hes not exactly a small 168.

That being said, I hope the fight gets made at 168. IMO its the best fight in boxing right now.

I just wish people would stop being unrealistic and only holding GGG's side accountable for any fight not being made when we all know how ridiculous and unrealistic Ward can be when it comes to negotiations.

Or... If he actually did pull off the upset and beat Ward, these pvssies at 160 might be like, "Hell no. He beat Ward. I've got no chance."... and duck him even more.

I am actually in favour of GGG moving up sooner rather than later but this doesn't make sense to me. IMO beating Ward at 168 would pretty much close all the doors at 160 - any available MW would be considered a huge backwards step and tbh outside of the hardcore fans I doubt it'd even do a massive amount for his marketability.

That said this is a fight I'd very much like to see. I'm not a fan of CWs and anyway doubt Ward can make 164 without effecting his performance so I'd like it at 168 but can understand K2s reluctance to turn their back on the possibility of the lucrative Cotto / Canelo matchups at 160.

For the win? I still favour Ward, PTS, but I'm far less certain than most seem to be... I think Gennady will push Andre harder than anyone to date.
