The last time I saw Rahman that thin was when he KO'd Lennox. I'm not implying that will happen but you just never know. In the end, I'd pick Wlad by KO in rd 6.
Yes and we arn't getting any of those "I cant wait for Rahman to land one of his bombs on Vlads egg chin" type threads either!!atsch
Admittedley I haven't seen anything of him in the last few years apart from the Toney fights but, he used to have a good, heavy jab and he does have reach on Wlad. I'm firmly in the "it was a fluke" camp regarding Rahman's win over Lewis, nevertheless as poorly prepared/acclimatised Lewis was, Rahman did out-jab him on the night. That's his only, slim chance I think. If he can trouble Wlad with his jab he could possibly unsettle him enough to make him crumble again. Obviously it's not going to happen though, he's going to get battered.
I also think that Rahman looks thin. And for that matter, I think Wlad looks just a little heavier, but it's all in his lats, shoulders and arms. I was looking at another pic somewhere yesterday and noticed that Wlad looks like he's pumped some weights in the off season and re-bulked his upper body. Perhaps he feels that he took too long to ko Thompson in his last fight and wants more power in his punches? I guess the weigh in will show if he actually has put on some extra muscle.
What a boring fight, Klitschko you're a BUM and your sister Vitalia. I dunno if i'm gonna watch this or watch the grass grow instead, its a tough decision.
Rahman has been in good shape for awhile...the lightness will help him. Rahman's biggest problem in this fight is that he is SLOW AS BALLS! He has some of the slowest hands, these days. I see this going as Wlad-Austin, but the lower weight will help him. Anyone else think Riddick Bowe looks like Jefe from the Three Amigos in that pic? Rahman is garbage whatever weight he's at. As low as 224 vs Holyfield. Even when he won the title he looked like garbage.
Indeed. And sadly he's not the only one. I'm glad both guys will be in top shape for this. I don't care if Rahman has little chance, it's a world title fight (in fact for two world titles) and deserves that at least.
Wouldn't it be cool if instead of Vitali in Wlads corner, it was Lennox Lewis. I bet Rahman would defecate if that were to happen. Imagine, Wlad and Lennox both starring you down.
