Rampage showed a lot of character in his post fight speech.

Had it round 1 and 3 for Lyoto and round 2 for Jackson. Got to love when a man tells it like it is.

round 1 was tough to score. I watched it at Hooter's with some friends but I thought it was fair to be 29-28 Rampage.

:deal Me too, Rampage did better against Machida than I thought he would though.

First time Ive seen RAmpage with class. He should since he lost that fight.

These judges, its time to overhaul this thing.

Yep that's how i had it.

Obviously it looks a bad decision because Machida won big in rd 3 but that's UFC scoring for you.

Thought Rampage won 29-28 but could have gone either way and under pride rules Machida would have won so can understand how Rampage felt like he lost.

In retrospect, compare Rampage's actions to Rashad's.

Really hard to like Rashad after watching Rampage offer a rematch so freely, because it is the right thing to do, when in all actuality, it's still a very dangerous high risk fight.

Respect to the man. After all the **** talk, he's still more of a fighter, still more of a man with character and balls than Rashad is.

I had Machida winning 1 & obviously 3. But when you fight tentatively like that for two rounds, you're putting yourself in dangerous territory with the judges. I think he was penalized for backing up. Rampage looked more of the aggressor, even though he didn't do much offensively.
So, while I think Lyoto won, I have trouble arguing with the decision.

Judged as a whole Machida won easily based on his dominance in round 3. But of course, that's not how it works.

    Rematch.

Had it Jackson 2 rounds to 1. Good fight, regardless of what people may see. Interesting tactical fight. One thing's for sure, Lyoto has lost a step and comes across to be, quite gunshy actually.

even though it could have gone either way i think it was a moral victory for rampage for fighting such a great fight against his achillie heel

Yeah i think he gave Jackson too much respect in those first 2rds.

He'll be much better in the rematch.

i wouldnt complain either way the decision went,1st was close,2nd was rampage,3rd was machida.....although i gave it 29-28 rampage i thought him being the aggresser in the 1st and controlling the pace is why he won the decision.great night for rampage he looked pretty good but i think a rematch would be good but there is still to many other fights out there for both guys 1st.

Man, this is the 10 point must system in action, the problem is the criteria for an 8 point round is less defined for MMA.

Jackson won two rounds close, Machida won one round big. 29-28. That's just my honest take.
