[yt]x0Wzewy9O6o[/yt] Rampage was suppose to fight Jones in a boxing fight. It would of been a circus but I still would of watched just to see what happens. According to this, Rampage says Dana White, UFC prez ****blocked him as him and Jones have a close relationship.
I can see where Dana White would not want to see a UFC fighter get starched by a shot Roy Jones in a boxing ring. In an Octagon Rampage is known as a striker, but in a boxing ring these UFC fighting strikers would be totally exposed, thats what Dana White would rather the fan not see. A 60 year old China chinned Roy Jones I'd favor to KO a prime Rampage Jackson in a boxing ring. UFC fighters have no business getting fighting real boxers in a boxing ring, they're out of their element just as boxers would be in an octagon.
Who cares, who won't to watch a washed up boxer fight a guy who could even beat a club fighter from the mid west of USA.
"I don't lie I am not a liar, wait I do lie, BUT I only lie to da police, ma kids and ma parents I think that people who lie are cowards"----Rampage Jackson :conf
Id put my money on Rampage easily, Roy is out of shape and washed up with a glass chin. Rampage is training all the time and is younger and more physical. Roy Jones deflated punches might look like the 90's Roy but they don't have the same effect, Rampage would just rush him and tag Roys mist like chin. I love RJJ and he is one of my favorites but he's far too passed it IMO. All it takes is one good punch on Roys chin these days and TIMBERRRRRRRRRR...:yep
A boxer has a better chance at KO'ing an mma striking fighter in an octagon than vice versa as we saw with Ray Mercer KO'ing Sylvia.
:roflYou know nothing of the nuances and intracacies of timing and gauging distance in a boxing ring. Rampage Jackson would be absolutely clueless in a boxing ring. He'd be like a toddler learning to walk. I'd favor a 60 year old Duran to knockout Rampage Jackson in a boxing match. The Jones of today would would'nt need more than a round to short circuit him.
