Randy Couture vs Brock Lesnar. What's your pick?

Lesnar, on styles. Be pulling for Randy.

 

Contracts don't matter. Only money matters. The fight will happen if Randy defeats Lesner.

I can't pronounce myself on this.
I can't tell if couture is gonna win or not...

On one side , there' a guy who's as one dimensional as it gets , but who's massive & who's extremely experienced in wrestling.

And on the other , a veteran who's been known for struggling vs bigger wrestlers throughout his career. (Barnett , Ricco , Randleman ) , i'd like to believe that he'll pull a submission at one point during the fight but Couture is not known as a sub wiz... and he can't count of lesnar for losing his gas tank...

But , he's got the experience too...

I don't know how you guys can be so sure...I'm going for a 50/50

 

Logic is telling me lesnar - Younger and Stronger, and Randy has been out of action for a while......
BUT I have learned over the years to never bet against Randy, he has God on his side remember??

So at the moment I'll go with - Randy by ground and pound

* As a side note I'm hoping brock's chin will be tested in this fight, haven't seen him take a clean shot yet.

 

Jitz was designed to allow a much smaller man to beat a much bigger man and Randy is way better at Jitz than Lesnar is.

Randy will take this fight with a rare and easy submission win.

He wil use Brocks strength against him with technique.

Brock is one dimensional and has'nt trainned anywhere near long enough in MMA to beat Randy.

 

it's what "should" happen. Only problem is ...that it rarely ever ****ing happens. (Couture's record speaks for itself...) So i'm hoping for a submission...but i doubt he'll actually manage to pull one...

He wanted to do the same vs Sylvia but failed (that's why the fight lasted 5 rounds)... I'm personally rooting for the oldman...But like i said in my previous message...It's a 50/50 as far as i'm concerned.

 

Randy isnt some **** submission guy bro hes just never tried many submissions thats never been his game hes always like to get inside clinch use dirty boxing or cage tactics to get a takedown then inflict alittle GNP. Sylvia for being submitted 4 times isnt a bad submission defense guy he was submitted twice by true studs Mir and Nogueira and after Fedor and Arlovski had damn near taken his head off.

 

I think Coture will be patient and win this one. Brock is a brute and will be tough but is giving up a lot of experience. I am sure he's learned from him loss to Mir though.

 

And u deducted that from what exactly? All the muscles that he has? You know theres no muscles on his chin right?

 

Hey, in his last fight with a great collegiate wrestler what did Randy do?

Subbed him, anaconda choke/gator roll.

Just saying.


Stylistically its not a great matchup for Randy, and I think Brock will turn out to be a real championship contender on merit in his own time, but right now, I think Randy wins by Surviving the spaz GnP, pecking away with some kicks and jabs, and finally sweeping or even taking down Brock and finishing him late.

On the other hand, it could be the Mir fight all over again without Randy having the bag of tricks that Mir does from his back.

 

You know what bothers me is once agian everyone just ignores Randys own fantastic wrestling ability he wasnt a 4 time Olympic Alternate for no reason. Randys Wrestling blended in with his MMA skills are some of the best ive ever seen.
