RING WBC WBA IBF WBO IBO WBU WBF IBA etc are not even proper titles in my opinion. Don't bother about the International titles, though they are more prestigious than the IBA title.
They are all crap. Yeah I guess the ring is the best only because they don't actively screw things up like the big four, because their rankings don't effect things directly, meaning who fights who and who ducks who. No rankings and no titles would be so much better than these frauds. Next (I am kidding somewhat but I like to entertain the idea) they can throw out weight classes and just have catch weights and whats more, throw out all the damn judges its so filthy and corrupt. We don't need them, they need us. Just like the belt orgs. thats right, just fights and a ref. no "W" and no "L" or "D" Just total fan perception. I would rather that than we get Casamayor with the corrupt W over Cruz and he gets to move into the bigger fights.
IBF's the best and there can be no dispute about that, if you know what you're talking about. It has good rules that it enforces. People complain about some of the mandatories that are enforced...but they never say why...I don't think they have anything to stand on if they tried to make a case. Wasn't Andrade a worthy mandatory for Bute, for example? Weren't N'dou or Ngoudjo for Malignaggi? Or do you have to be hyped and American for you to deserve to get a shot at the champ? Wasn't Stieglitz a better, more proven fighter than Manfredo Jr.? The trouble with the IBF is that it allows almost anyone to be ranked in the Top 15...but then, so do all of the others too. The Ring is not a belt. It's a prize. The WBO/WBC/WBA are equally bad in different ways, but the WBO is worst amongst equals.
To me, a World Champion is the best in the World. The politics and bureaucracy with sanctioning bodies have lost the belts credibility. They've saturated the meaning through greed. You know the system fails when boxers give up belts to fight a fighter. As Daz52 succinctly stated:
