I'm not much of a list maker, but if I was it would look just about like this. From the looks of things here, I would dare say if Loma wins, he automatically goes to the top on a lot of lists?
Loma Shakur Tank Haney Garcia Cruz I think Shakur overtakes Loma as the best of 135 in the coming year or so.
1. Loma 2. Shakur Stevenson 3. Devin Haney 4. Tank Davis 5. Ryan Garcia 6. Isaac Cruz If Teo was on the list, I'd probably have him number two or three, dude is the most proven besides Loma
1. Loma not just in terms of talent, skills, accomplishments, resume (and I mean resume at 135 alone) but you have to factor in size and the fact that in complete contrast to the rest, even more so to some of them, he's routinely giving away huge physical advantages, like 2-3 divisions in weight (4 against Haney) and a big/huge amount of reach too, amount of punchers fought most bigger or much bigger than him, always fighting on the road or in his opponent's backyards, reverytime with a US ref and three US judges when facing Americans which, duh, is obviously along with the corruption which goes hand in hand with that is the only reason why he isn't the current undisputed king right now Granted Loma is old and well past his best now but by rights he should have all those belts right now and be the undisputed champ 2. Twink. Garbage resume, been ducking Loma like crazy for seven years, and ducking the very best in every division hes fought in, and his best win in a decade long career is still to this day Pedraza, a fighter who Loma took on as a warm up fight just seven months after shoulder surgery when he wasn't close to 100% and despite the fact in was a unification match up and Pedraza was a damned good fighter back then. That being said, despite his ducking and cherrypicking ways and the grotesque PBC/Showtime smoke & mirrors resume, Twink is actually very talented and I simply cannot place him behind Shakur after the later's last performance. 3. Shakur. Highly skilled and talented boxer but he's only beaten 2 world champions and he was huge for 126 and 130 and one of them was C level (Herring) in their prime and the other (Valdez) was much smaller and has been involved in about half a dozen life and death wars with opponents his own size, including losing his previous fight on in everyone's eyes bar the three corrupt judges after popping dirty. Truthfully speaking he stunk out the joint something terrible against the first big punching, athletic, fast-handed guy his size he fought 4. Haney. Talented but he's just a massive weight bully who has never fought a single champ close to his weight or size (like 2 divisions smaller being the closest) and all of the champs he has fought were not only much naturally smaller and lighter but most of them were either shot old men or old and well past their best Gamboa 39 shot to hell Linares almost 36, inactive and completely washed Loma an old 35 with a ton of wear and tear The other two are Career 126 featherfist Jojo who, like Gamboa had only stopped 2 of his last 12 IIRC, and who is tiny for 135, a weight he's 1-3 at and could easily be 0-4 And one-hit wonder Kambosos who is the only prime career 135 pounder champ he's ever fought and even he was a lot smaller than Haney. Kambosos won his previous three fights via SD or MD and he cannot deal with boxers his own size, let alone ones much bigger than him. A shot very inactive 35 y/o MIckey Bey (Haney's assistant trainer) who had only fought once in 3.5 years gave him he lots of problems as did a past prime career 126 Less Selby in their SD losses to him and Maxi Hughes was flat-out robbed against him. Looks at the huge physical advantages Haney hold over the likes of Loma, Gamboa, Jojo. Between 2-4 divisions in weight and 5.5 to 7 inches in reach He had 2-3 inches in reach on both Linares and Kambosos too and was much heavier And he's only fought one legit puncher - Linares and he was badly hurt by that much smaller, rusty, inactive washed version of him. At least Twink has fought numerous big punchers How big a weight bully is he? He's even a lot bigger than career 140 pounder Rougagou who really struggles to make 140 Sorry but wake me up when he starts facing opponents his own size, and punchers his own size, let alone routinely facing opponents who are 2-4 divisions heavier with big.huge reach advantages on him like Loma does at 135 5. Cruz. I thought he edged Twink so I have him over Ryan but he's just a crude oompa loomp with a boulder-sized noggin and the reach of a baby kangaroo 6. Ryan. Like Twink, physically blessed with speed and power but his resume is trash. He can ascend this list because his power and speed is legit. I'd give him a good chance of knocking Haney's fugly soft-chinned ass out at 135 if he landed clean None of the others are doing what Loma is doing. Not even close
Tank is the best at 135 Loma, Shakur and Haney are all interchangeable for the 2nd-4th spots Isaac Cruz is 5th Ryan is 6th and the worst of the bunch
