As usual Mendoza is lying,Briggs was never in a coma ,in fact he never even lost consciousness,he was put in intensive care as a precautionarly measure and kept in hospital,[ where he spoke with his promoter and friends,] because of a biceps tear which was the far more serious of his injures which were a fractured orbital bone and a broken nose.Hardly surprising since over 170 flush right hands were landed on his face.Yet he remained upright throughout.
The morning after the fight Briggs ,together with the hospital staff released a press statement saying he was in no danger and would stay in hospital for a few days to stabilise his arm injury, its on the internet! That's the cold truth ,but it won't stop Mendoza repeating his falsehoods he is a compulsive liar ,as you will quickly find out.

OMG, you have no shame McVey!

You said there was not punch that landed. I showed you video, and can provide numerous links that saya a punch did land.

    >>BERLIN -- Odlanier Solis has sustained serious knee injuries in his first-round knockout defeat by WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko on Saturday.

The 30-year-old Cuban was taken to hospital, where a scan revealed tears to his anterior cruciate ligament and external meniscus, as well as cartilage damage in his right knee.

The crowd in Cologne was disappointed by the 179-second bout. The fans booed and whistled for several minutes after it ended.

Klitschko said he's "sorry for the spectators. I don't fight for me, I fight for them."

It was Solis' first defeat in 18 pro fights. Klitschko improved to 42-2.

BS as usual. He collapsed and Vitali said the doctors at one point could not wake him up. I will search for the quote if its out there on the web to shame your sorry self once again! Read below moron, this says Briggs collapsed!

    https://wikivisually.com/wiki/Vitali_Klitschko

On 17 August 2010, it was announced that Klitschko would defend his WBC title against Shannon Briggs on 16 October of that year. Klitschko completely dismantled his challenger with superior hand speed. Briggs struggled to land any meaningful punches, as Klitschko won every round decisively. After a few rounds, Briggs was receiving a vicious and sustained beating which caused him serious facial injuries. Considering the beating he was receiving, there was some suggestion that the referee should have stopped the bout during the last few rounds. Klitschko had retained his belt with official scores of 120–107, 120–105, and 120–107.

During the post-fight interview, the American boxer Briggs said: “I’ve fought George Foreman, I’ve fought Lennox Lewis, and Vitali’s the best.”

    Dude,

You can see the punch that landed, and it was easily reported that it did land. Are you attempting to dispute this?

Might that have caused Solis to temporary lose balance and fall?

then he'd be clutching his head not his leg that caused MUCH greater pain, you muppet.

you shouldda let that get buried in the last page of the thread, noone would have noticed, but no you had to bring your fail back to life.

    "might have"?

we can say sure as shyt that he lost balance because HIS LEG WAS DAMAGED. That generally makes people fall over.

Yes, from a fall that was created from a landed punch! Once again, are you disputing the fact that a punch was landed before Solis went backward and fell? Please answer, a 2nd duck to this question tells me you know it happened!

If you've watched boxing, fighters have faked injures before to make it look there was an excuse for loss / knockdown. Solis look fine before that punch landed.

The ringside fight reporters said the punch didn't bother him. Box rec says he went into the ring injured! Solis didn't fake any injury he had surgery on a ruptured cruciate ligament and a torn medial cartilage after the fight..I've had two cartilages removed, both the inner knee cartilages , there is no way you can box with a torn cartilage.
As usual you don't know what the f*ck you are talking about!

he looked fine before his leg gave in. fighters with one leg generally do not stand well. but you keep imagining what you saw.

yeh sure but mendoza thinks vitalis glancing blow to solis glove was SO HARD that the force travelled down his body and broke his kneecap. pull the other one, granny weatherwax.

I say the punch landed on Solis' glove and the impetus pushed him off balance. and he fell causing the injuries to his leg. There is some conjecture that he may have gone into the ring injured. The reports say the punch didn't seem to bother him.Wherever it landed, the reason the fight was stopped was because Solis had a leg injury, he wasn't knocked out! That's the bottom line! you can tear your cartilage stepping off the curb! As a specialist told me when I tore mine!

If the punch lands to the head no one but a fool or an idiot,[you are both]. would claim it was a powerful punch, capable of knocking out a heavyweight .
This clip clearly shows Solis' foot sliding away to the side.

If you are that desperate to bolster up Vitali's power that you have to resort to claiming this as a bona fide ko, then that tells us everything we need to know!

You and that other imbecile Rasta Ghouly ,or whatever the f*ck his name is are a couple of no nothing tw*ts.

Ive seen that fight twice, the second time with my friend and we both couldnt give shavers more than 5-6 rounds tops with maybe one round even. So even if u gave him that, Ali would still be ahead.

Im willing to rewatch it and score it again tho.

Thats not how it works, it isnt all statements are valid or theyre not. Some fighters are literally on drugs or intoxicated in some fights for example.

As for Ali and Holmes, all it takes is critical thinking. They both faced multiple murderous punchers and had no reason to lie. Ali beat every big puncher he faced, and hes NOT the only one to cosign Shavers. Several other common opponents pick shavers.

Holmes hung on for dear life when shavers dropped him and was groggy the rest of the fight, even several rounds later (a VERY good indicator of power).

Again, theres a difference between being a hard hitter and being a good finisher. Tyson had better foot speed, coordination, timing, and was a better finisher with more crisp combinations than shavers. He had to drop holmes 3 times before he could finish him. If he hit "waaay" harder than shavers holmes wouldnt have gotten up once, let alone 3x. David Lemiux hits harder than Sugar Ray Leanard, but Leanard was a much better finisger when he had his man hurt.

I might add that there is ALSO a difference between hitting someone hard and being a hard hitter. For example, Holyfield made tyson gas out to the point he was a sitting duck and hit him with multiple clean flush shots. Now, get this, Tyson said Holyfield "hit him the hardest" because of "the sheer number of clean accurate punchers". We know for a FACT Holyfield didnt hit as hard as Ruddock and especially not Lewis.

As for Briggs, his statement is bologna because again, lewis dropped him 3x and the fight was pretty short. He was moving AWAY from foremans punches the whole fight and foreman was freakin 50. Yet despite going 12 with old man foreman and being stopped by lewis he claimed foreman hit harder than lewis! Briggs is weird.

6/10 is not fearher fisted, that means u hit plenty hard enough to get someones respect and make them back off. Id give someone like willie monroe a 4/10.
