To me the best Tua ever was the one that fought the best Ike ever .. that was a monster fight and Tua was never the same .. never in the same condition or w the same focus .. that Tua fought his heart out in terrific shape ( and I believe deserved a cloe win ) and that Tua to me beats the best Ray .. other that that Ray would win a decision as he had the ability to box a bit and would use it ..

That's the only way Tua can actually achieve something, h2h fantasy matches.

Because in real life, he did **** all.

Tua had a winner's mentality. He usually won. I think he beat Ike too.

Mercer's best wins (Damiani and Morrison) were against guys who didn't possess a shred of Tua's punch resistance and paid for it. He looked good against Lewis, but I thought he lost.

    Small edge to Tua.

Mercer had better boxing skills. I believe he moved better around the ring compared to Tua. Two all time great chins. But i think Mercer will outpoint Tua and get the victory.

Well, Fres Oquendo was a more disciplined boxer than Mercer and his chin got cracked for pretty much the only time in his career against Tua (the stoppage against Ruiz was terrible reffing).

True. Mercer had one of the best jabs of the 1990's, and one of the best chins. These two assets alone beat Tua.

Tua is really a one-dimensional short puncher with limited reach, and when pressed a questionable heart for battle.

While he could knock many out, he's not beating a guy like Mercer.

Tua's heart can definately be questioned. The way he shut down and even stopped trying to win once Lenni hit him with a few jabs, 1-2's and moved around the ring in the first round of their fight was astonishing. On the other hand, an absolute shot version of Tyson kept on coming forward in a straight line, eat everything i.e. jab, upper cuts, rights in the hope of landing that one Hayemaker.

Mercer tried to bribe a journeyman to dive during a fight he ended up losing.

Cheers! I'd pick Mercer, too. I think he was slightly more versatile, although that might not be the first word you associate with him!

Just like tyson... all the aura of terror of tyson was beating all the older versions of the former rivals of holmes, he never ever did beat a YOUNG great hw. Just a past Prime lhw(so did ali,frazier,marciano..) a shot larry holmes and that was all.. tyson dominated a bunch of past Prime average guys.. thomas was finished at that time and taking drugs, tucker had a broken hand(tyson could not stop him and the fight was competitive),berbick was past his best, smith was past his best(could not stop him), Bruno was past his best, marvis frazier was a TOMATO, green was an average guy and gave him a fight, carl the lie Williams was past his best and was another average guy,l Lorenzo boyd? Rivalta?steve souzki?a past Prime tubbs? David Jaco? Lmao ruddock was nobody,an overrated guy he had no real stoppage against a Prime versión of anyone.a bad mentally douglas (his mom died)kicked his ass and holyfield stopped him easy and early
Tyson lost badly against every great fighter that he fought . So your god tyson is product of your imagination.
"Prime tyson Kevin rooney cus damato blablaba" facts... a past Prime holyfield kicked the ass of tyson TWICE and lewis in the end of his career knocked tyson the **** out.the nobody douglas knocked prime tyson out

Biased or not the important thing is that it was truth. He did start it landing **** over tua... when tyson is the big one that IN REAL FACTS NEVER DID ANYTHING AGAINST A YOUNG GREAT HW.ALL HIS FORCE IN FANTASY MATCHES IS HIS MYTHICAL 86-88 PRIME AGAINST BUMS AND PAST PRIME AVERAGE GUYS
