Lon Smith really pissed me off....... After he wasted Bill Costello on ESPN for the 140 lb. crown, I thought Smith was the next best thing pound-4-pound.......

Last I saw of Smith he looked like a ***** against Chavez on HBO in 1991.....

YES! Hamada was the Jap dude that whacked Arredondo.... I think they fought 2X going 1-1 with each other.?.?

"Mayweather-Brazier" of '88 is classic stuff that nobody but me ever discusses......

Yey your not the only one who though Lonnie Smith was the next best thing after knocking out COstello. Chavez had him running for dear life. I agree Mayweather-Braizer was a close fight and a forgotten classic.

Pretty even fight. Coetzee could easily win a decision as could Mercer.

Gerrie boy, who at 215, that clipped 217 pound Dokes in Ohio in Sept. of 1983, was at his best / peak...... Too bad it was short-lived....... That G.C. was a dangerous mother....

The 14 month lay-off until Dec. '84 killed him against Gregory Page in South Africa...... **** the excuse about the LONG 8th round....... Page won.......
