I have him at #3 so I disagree with this thread.

I agree that it's not absurd to have Robison outside the top 5, since there just have been so many great fighters. It's a bit far fetched, perhaps, but not absurd.

Nowadays I feel pretty comfortable having him at nr. 1, but Langford and Greb are also good shouts.

OooooW! I thought we had someone with a pair then.

Alrighty then; Fitzsimmons, Langford, Greb, Wilde and Leonard are all above Robinson p4p, fact.

shouldn't that list look more like this at the end?

    Randolph Turpin X2
    Rocky Graziano
    Gene Fullmer x4
    Carmen Basilio x2

Good thread, i want to say that i think Muhammad Ali's resume is outstanding though. Not to say that he achieved more than those he didn't, purely in terms of resume that is. But like i say, truly outstanding resume, and in terms of maybe not what all would label 'ability', but most definitely what everyone must give their 'effectiveness' stamp to, he is of the highest standard there ever has been, ever.

Depends on if i'm a) drunk b) half cut or c) hungover.

    If i'm a) or c) then he's not #2.

I came up with the 'Sugar' moniker, but that's never talked about either.

I personally have Ray at #3, after Armstrong and Greb.
