I never suggested otherwise. I merely said cooper could bang, and he could.

Thanks for reminding me of that lefthook..i would have loved to have seen Tyson vs Foreman in 1997, despite being completely nuts, Tyson was in tip top shape physically in the holyfield 2 fight, & old foreman had just finished 1996 by having his face flattened by axel schultz of all people.... And by the way, Downgoesfrazier- you really need to watch more fights....and stop recycling things you read on the forum!

  5. if my knowledge were result of reading the comments of amateurs like you on this forum i would not talk about boxing.probably i watched more boxing than you will watch during all your life.when you learn spanish i will teach you, no problem

:huh Ruddock simply does not have the tools or skill set to have dealt with Holyfield 89/93, not ever...Ruddock had power but rarely if ever did he throw punches in combinations and would often telegraph shots which against a canny counter puncher such as Holyfield would spell certain disaster, although not the biggest of punchers Holyfield was an excellent rounded athlete and he painfully counters Razor and the occasional scare aside, stops him during the middle rounds Holy KO7Ruddock:deal

Holyfield was a great heavyweight but outside of a few nights where he put it all together, he always looked beatable.

He looked uninspiring against Dokes, Foreman and Holmes, pretty much outworking a bunch of faded, old fighters.

Then there's the huge scare against Cooper. Even Alex Stewart had some moments.

I'd make Holyfield a favourite because Ruddock was pretty limited, but if Holyfield goes gung ho like he always did back then we're going to see some interesting exchanges. Ruddock wasn't anything special but he was young, huge, tough as nails and could seriously bang. Often, a combination of the above is enough for an upset to occur, especially at heavyweight.

Holyfield's not losing on a one-punch KO that's for sure.
And what else did Ruddock have apart from loading up on single punches.

Holyfield would get dropped by a hard uppercut but he would get up and beat the **** out of Ruddock and stop him in a war. Ruddock could stun someone pretty good but he wasnt the greatest finisher. You needed to pound Holyfield into the canvas to stop him and Ruddock didnt have the skills to do it. Holyfield KO round 9

i always wanted too see this on paper u have to go with holyfield because ruddocks low punch out put (28 punches per rd 21 power punches and 7 jabs ) but holyfield liked to trade at times like he did with foreman/bowe/cooper and that is a dangerous thing to do with donovan razor ruddock ....on paper holyfield probably wins a 12 rd dec ////// but when you have a smash you just never know
