4-Takahata out faster here and he seemed to rock the Filipino in the opening seconds, we have a fire fight breaking out! Takahata's experience and freaky dimensions serving him well but the Pinoy seems the more explosive still and has the better flurries, body shot from Takahata backs up his man, Takahata down again...and the referee stops the bout!

He's very unsteady on his legs now he's up

Reason must be loving this, they aren't paying out much in terms of bonuses lol

    Final bout
    Vladimir Baez (26-5-2, 24) v Tuguldur Byambatsogt (1-0)
Another Knock Out Dynamite Tournament final...

Mongolian guy was apparently a VERY good amateur
Baez, aka Destino Japan, is a Japanese based Dominican puncher, dangerous as hell in this type of format

1-Byambatsogt looking to maintain distance and using a nice jab and good footwork, Baez struggling to get close, very nice from the Mongolian who looks a genuine talent very well schooled and neutralising Baez easily, as he did to Shusaku Fujinaka last time out.

Baez seemed to have a little problem with his leg as he went to the corner

Byambatsogt has "Money", "Floyd" and "Mayweather"

2-Baez trying to move into a different gear but Byambatsogt continues doing what he did in round 1, moving, jabbing, showing the basics of boxing, Byambatsogt warned for not breaking by Binney Martin, nice body shot from Byambatsogt,

You get the feeling Byambatsogt doesn't know if he can take Baez's power, but he's not interested in finding out either...

    2-0 Byambatsogt

3-More of the same, Baez struggling to get close, chasing his man with little success and being pegged by jabs, a big right cross from Byambatsogt, and a nice counter straight as well, Binney Martin tells both guys off for minor fouls, all the pressure is from Baez but Byambatsogt neutralising it with his footwork and upper body movement, another good body shot from Byambatsogt, Baez lands a left hook but fails to follow up, Martin threatening to take a point from Byambatsogt - needs to do something to help the adopted local

    3-0

4-Again much of the same, Byambatsogt looks to be slowing just a touch, but Baez isn't getting any quicker himself, a right from Baez lands, Byambatsogt on the retreat and nothing coming from him, a nice jab, and a right from Byambatsogt, a lovely counter by Byambatsogt

    Erm...you know...Byambatsogt might have actually stole that...but I'll be nice 3-1 Byambatsogt

5-Baez likely to throw the kitchen sink at Byambatsogt here, big right up top and a body shot from Byambatsogt, Baez given a "next time I'm taking a point" warning, Byambatsogt warned for pushing down on Baez's back, a big left hook from Byambatsogt , Baez reaching, and another left hook from Byambatsogt, Baez marches forward but no success, another sweeping left hook from Byambatsogt, Baez down-slip, right-left from Byambatsogt, and he unloads down goes Baez! Baez is hurt! He's up but hurt, Byambatsogt with a right hand, Baez down again-slip

Byambatsogt celebrates as we go to the bell

This kid the real deal...not fan friendly, but what a natural talent

    UD - Byambatsogt
    48ー46
    49ー45×2

Fingers crossed he doesn't vanish into the ether as Byambatsogt has the potential to do big things, already has 2 solid wins on away turf

It seems there was a huge disparity in quality between the 60kg and 65kg brackets, odd.

So it was more a case of Tampipi just being really tough and not Omori being a sloppy or inefficient finisher, that it even made the fifth with that size difference?

Tough and in survival mode, Omori hammered him tbh but...

It's a shame the other final (Yamauchi vs Sasaki) fell through as that looked the best of the bunch tbh
