I watched the interview with the commissioner in Nevada. I think year round random testing would be the next step, but it is harder to implement when you have so many different commissions and every boxer is an independent contractor.

 

pac is just making an example of the frauds. this case will be enough to shut up paulita.

look at the brighter side. if pac wins, boxers and most athletes will be free from false accusations from now on.

 

Some real sharp legal minds here. To win a case like this damages have to be proven. Has Pac suffered damage to his reputation?

Most news media seem to be siding with him, polls have gone overwhelmingly in his favor, and he just made a huge payday fighting Miguel Cotto, a fight which took place after Mayweather Sr. made his first steroid allegations. Additionally Pac has been voted Boxer/Athlete of the year by many publications. He is also in line to make another huge payday in whatever fight he takes next.

I'd say he's doing pretty well. Additionally none of the defendants have stated anything other than their opinion and only one of them has stated directly that he believes Pac is on PEDs, while the rest just hinted at it.

This is just a giant waste of time and money for Pac. And an attempt to legislate away any speculation instead of just manning up, taking the tests, taking the fight, and winning, which is what would REALLY repair whatever damage his reputation might have suffered.

 

The main purpose of this is to make GBP lose their share of Pac I think. That part might be easier. Poisoned relations. Or it might not be worth GBP's effort to hold onto their stake.

 

Honestly I think Pac's camp is a little unhinged right now. Arum's statements on the whole thing read like a drunk ranting about his ex wife, Pacquiao is obviously beyond irritated based on his statements, and I think they legitimately do want to try and punish Mayweather and GBP in some way. Either that or it's about the elections, and making a strong stand in the face of an assault on his pride and character.

The true irony is that Pac is so universally loved and Mayweather so universally hated that Mayweather has probably suffered more damage to his reputation than Pac, and all he did was make one offhand comment about PEDs in the Phillipines.

 

Kelly is the local so I follow him pretty closely. Arum is always changing his position from second to second. It is almost as if he will let an interviewer lead him and tell him what he wants to hear. Nothing new in the drunken rant category. It was the same before the Hatton fight, but he pulled that one off by bringing Manny over to the states to separate him from his 'advisors' and talk sense to him. This time I'm afraid it is a lost cause.

 

Yea I think you got it right here. They own what a 5% take in all of Pacmans boxing endeavors. What's that 2 mil of a 40 milllion pot. Damn right, GBP is way out of line. They're still pissed Pac gave back the briefcase with the 500k cash. Regardless you don't disrespect a fighter who is still partly under your banner.

I have been reading all this crap from Void fans as if there is so much proof that Pac is a druggie, but I have not seen one ounce of evidence, zero proof. Yes, this appears to be hurting Pac's excellent reputation. Pac has worked extremely hard in the gym, he has fought like a man, only to be lied about over and over again.
