Too bad his handwraps and his fondness for hitting other boxers in the family jewels had a lot to do with his victories or at least made them controversial. Not to mention his pouting after each loss and subsequent retirements. Just imagine if he had not retired: Tito vs Mosley Tito vs Quartey Tito vs Forrest (R.I.P.) Tito vs D. Santos Tito vs Page Tito vs JLL Tito vs Simms Tito vs ODLH II Tito vs Margarito "The Battle of the Handwraps" Tito vs Cintron "The Battle of the Fragile Egos" Tito vs Williams
tito never used plaster like magacheato, just extra padding wich doesnt improve ur power. even that was never proved. he was a world class fighter and an exiting one at that, he ruined vargas and please dont say the low blows did it, his chin was never the same and vargas also was deducted a point 4 low blows. i do agrre he had nothin at over 154 and i dont think ha was that limited as aboxer, its just that he fell i love with his power and stoped boxing. just watch his early fights and he was actually a very good fighter. oscar fought titos scrap 4 a long time. and the oscar fight i had it a draw and it was closer than what people say, turn of the valume and watch it. he was defenetly a great fighter and boxing needs more titos.
i thought tito was a monster, and he would murder cotto and margo.great boxers in hter prime had his number, but everyone else got there head beat in.tito vs mayorga and joppy still stick out in my mind.
First off, the handwrap bs is ridiculous. If you think Tito's power wasn't natural, you're a fool... Tito was a great, and a warrior...if half the current boxing champs fought like Tito, boxing would be the biggests sport..
