Your right, and I explained why it was so highly watched and picked up by HBO. The latino fan base in america is huge, and of course they wanted to see their first heavyweight champion. Vitali did not put peoples asses by the tv in america. I remember back in Nov or dec of 04, which was Vitali first and last time on PPV. It was the lowest grossing fight ever on PPV at the time.

The Klits are just not that popular outside of Europe, and it shows by the numbers they do and lack of sports coverage. Why do you think they now show their fights on the internet and not on HBO or Showtime anymore?

If he fights for five more years, and beats all comers, then it will be it's own kind of achievement. Let's say he beats another 10 fighters in that time, but noone all that good. People will consider that as good as beating one or two really good fighters.
Look at Bhop, for example. He is building his legacy right now, not by beating amazing fighters, but for putting in good performances against decent fighters when he is 45 years old. It isn't always about beating incredible fighters. Another example is Haye himself, his title fights at cruiser and heavy have not been that impressive - but you consider that he has won titles at two weights, and that is a boost to his legacy.

It's hard to say. Wlad went from being an interesting, but flawed and exposed fighter - to being a resurgent contender for the role of top dog - to being a champ so dominant that noone wants to fight him all since about 2003. This latest phase has lasted for around 2 years, so you are probably right about when it occurred.

The only differnce is B-Hop has beat future hall of famers and legends in and around middleweight. Fighters like Trinadad, de la hoya, Wright, Jones, Tarver etc... Name just one future hall of famer has beat or has even faced. To me that's the difference between the two, among other things. Wlad has no competition in my eyes and in the eyes of many boxing fans.

I dont know, before it seemed like he ruled the division practically by himself. Now they're are doubts now that Vitali's been in the picture for the last couple years.

Acting a sore back in television talk show is a bit different from, let's say for role in 'Spooks'. You don't turn from trash-talker-boxer to drama actor with.. anything.

Yes, Haye has looks and body but at the same time there are thousands of real actors with better faces and bodies with experience and acting schools to boot.

Reality show is plausible but that hardly hits many seasons or huge paydays. Haye's charisma and presence is complete zero when comparing it to likes of Donald Trump and Gene Simmons.

No, they're not figures in mainstream media outside Europe. Not even outside German speaking countries but that's also the case with Lennox outside from GB/Ireland.

You believe that if the Klitschkos would fight in States it wouldn't be on HBO or Showtime? Of course it would.

AA vs Froch had two Europeans fighting in Europe and it got shown in States but would've that happened without SS tournament label? I doubt.

Haye had this grand plan of stirring up the division, hyping up a big Klitschko fight for two years while fighting a bunch of low-risk bums only to allow the high risk big money Klitschko *RIGHT THE END* of his self-proclaimed retirement.

It all sounded so good in theory and now Haye and his amateurish manager stand there empty-handed, like a bunch of sore losers after their little retirement scam has been exposed as failed sleight of hand.

Nope, i was correct, just read my post again, and damn i was on the money :smoke

    LOL

Wlad meanwhile continues to get sucked off from his lap dogs for avoiding the biggest and most dangerous challenger he has had in the stand out fight on his Legacy if it happened, they instead are just happy like him to have avoided a brutal stoppage defeat by Haye in the biggest HW fight for years

Really quite a humiliating duck by Wlad after his call out video and boasts of "Anytime & Anywhere"

Atleast Vitali Haye might yet happen at somepoint, where Haye will have a great chance to make Wlad look silly.
