If this was the case for the Trout fight, shame on Cotto. However, it would give me a little hope as a Cotto fan that with a change of scenery, some time off, and with motivation following his consecutive losses (and perhaps a big fight against a recognizable name right off the bat), that he could get back to where he was against Margarito and Mayweather. We've talked about it in the past, but athletically, he lacked his usual coordination and speed against Trout, and his offense was uncharacteristically sloppy and wild.
Also from Cotto's mouth, this is all I've seen: "I have no idea, he is in Miami," said Cotto, referring to the future of Diaz in his corner. "That is something that we're going to study and that we're gonna talk about and decide." That PrimeraHora article from Puerto Rico that has everyone looking at Roach just states that the relationship between the two is "in limbo." Wish the split didn't happen if it did, great fit. Yup Diaz has every right to be frustrated if Cotto isn't giving 100%. His time is running out but he's still got some left in him, the speed and coordination he demonstrated in those fights was much greater than that of Trout. Who knows, he might not change trainers after all, I'm not convinced the split is a done deal.
brah It's exactly what cotto said. Manny steward said himself cotto is different than any other fighters he trained he didn't like leaving his comfort zone or getting any outsiders in the team.
Diaz: "Miguel can never accept a defeat on his own. After he lost to Margarito he blamed his uncle for throwing in the towel. After he lost to Pacquiao he blamed Santiago. Now after losing to Mayweather and Trout, he blames me. A trainer isn't the one in there fighting. If you have gone this far and still blame a trainer for your mistakes, it is your own fault. Miguel was a pleasure to work with, but the excuses he makes isn't what we in Cuba call, a real man" Got dam, pedro a G
Cotto is lazy in training and is not willing to hurt that's why he gasses.......and why he lost in Margo 1 and its a major theme throughout his career the inability to go 12 hard rds.
Dickriding at it's fullest right here. Dam, only thing missing from your post is the backdrop violin. Cotto(e) a bum and a sore loser. Deal with it
I could definitely see that. Source? Oh wait we all know you trollin. Still on my nuts MAIN/PhilthyBitch? What's the matter, Pacland servers go down?
Cotto tried to blame his uncle for throwing in the towel against Margarito?????? Bull**** Cotto backed into the corner & dropped to his knee in submission Cotto QUIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He was ready to quit in the return match till the crooked NY doc stopped the fight on the pretence of saving Msargarito's eye. That fight was stopped to save Cotto\ the embarrassment of quitting AGAIN!!!!
exactly, instead of manning up and saying he was bout to give, he blames his uncle for saving him from further AZZ whoopings. He was ready to quit too in the rematch, you're right. only Bozotazo thinks that isn't what happened. Diaz himself know's its the truth
