2nd longest reigning Heavyweight champion ever. 3rd most consecutive title defenses. Most championship fights. Still fighting the best 5 years after this pitiful thread was started.
Guy was in the 1996 Olympics and fighting the best fighters back to back the division has in 2017.
Lol at anyone who doesn't think he is an ATG
    HE IS

Nobody beat everybody, except Marciano, and he only fought 3 good guys. You win some you lose some, but he won many more than he lost. The guys he lost to, Joshua and Fury when he was old, Purity won fair and square, (and rejected several chances at a rematch), Sanders, and Brewster whom he beat in a rematch. 69 fights, lost 5.

I can only think of five champs who never got acused of ducking anyone in my adulthood; Holyfield, Klistchko, Chavez, Whitaker and DLH, that's it.

I don't even like WK but H2h he's a handful and he had a very good career. Personally l think he's somewhere between 9-12 range. Ali, Louis are a lock for the first two sports. Holmes and Lewis are in the top 5. Holyfield, Foreman and Tyson belong in the top 10 as do Liston and Marciano. Frazier could rank higher and could Dempsey, but Wlad falls somewhere after Liston and Marciano.

Vlad did not duck Sanders at all, it was Sander who refused to rematch Vlad and that is just a plain old fact................Vlad should be an all time great.................

That is also incorrect. Sanders never refused a rematch.

Sometimes in boxing, as in life, things just never work out despite the best intentions of BOTH parties.

    It's all here:

ok this is a fresh post, I see, with new ideas, which deserve a seperate reply - BUT can u actually clarify what you posted earlier? 3rd time I asked you now.

YOu appear to be saying he fought everyone? yes? or no?

this bit, I will highlight it for the nth time, needs clarification, especially about the "tough guys" -

"he never ducked anyone and outside of Ali and Holyfield, who fought as many tough guys for as many years. ."

plenty have lost to great fighters back to back. Apparently this makes them ATG. Good news Glen Johnson.

Although I would concede Wlads excellent longevity and management ability to rebuild a new career after defeats gives him some respect for sure. The most noteworthy thing about him by far though was none of these things that hundreds of boxers do routinely - for him it was the sharing titles between brothers, which was unprecedented and deserves HoF for sure.
