i don't agree with that. rees in his last fight gassed badly and crolla digs in nice body shots and keeps a good pace throughout the fight. crolla could take this quite handily imo.
I'd favour Crolla over Rees also. Especially with the pace Crolla sets it will tell over the distance for Rees. There is no way Rees, based on his last outing, has the stamina to stay there with Crolla for 12. The Mathews fight makes more sense for Rees, I can see him stopping Derry by the mid rounds.
that how i see it too, but he will need to fight crolla soon and the longer he leaves it the stronger at lightweight crolla will get.
No, Crolla-Rees was meant to happen April 16th but Rees pulled out injured. Hattons rejected Limmond and Wright because there "too big"
No point delaying the inevitable! :thumbsup I do think if stamina wasn't an issue for Rees he would be able to win a decision over Crolla - but as I've said before, he does have stamina issues so this cannot be disregarded. Hopefully if he does delay the Crolla fight he can do the hard work needed in the gym to get his stamina up to a decent level - obviously not a change that can be made in a short time period.
Don't listen to rumour its complete bollox trust me. Crolla wants Rees, i spoke to him last night. He was put forward to fight Rees on 23rd Rees knows Crolla will beat him so he chose a more winnable fight against Derry
Rees all day, he's way too active for any of the boys at domestic level. I thoink with his workrate and chin he could challenge, if not win world honours again.
at the moment rees would give the domestic boys a fight and have a chance to win but i feel he is on the decline and world honours will never be reached again by him.
I blood hope so Billy, he doesn't belong at lightweight. I can imagine it will be hard for him to give up his british title though.
