he is very underexperience fighting peter buckley twice isnt a seller.

but to me he is a hearty guy with a big workrate(those mini combo's when he does those tysonesque left right left right were so quick) and he at a hieght which is so small he isnt in danger of a jab...people have to bend over to jab him.

frank had a stable of fighters and m'baye needed another challenger who wasnt much of a challenge. his record is padded and his fights at another wieght...not to mention his size.

gavin was a damn good sacrifice unbeaten, welsh support from calzaghe's camp, little experience. perfect...then he wins.

but even still frank has now got a younger flashier hearty world champion intead...it was a win win situation for frank...no fix just bad matching...and one that came back to bite him.

 

Acaries will be happy. The traitor is punished. Warren organized M'Baye's defeat. No sparring + promise of an automatic rematch in Senegal + "0 interest" weak challenger. Warren fired M'Baye who wasn't able to generate £££ and that's all. Warren had lost £££ in Kotelnik vs M'Baye 2.
It doesnt mean Rees is elite. This "victory" in one of the most ridiculous title fight I have ever seen means nothing. M'Baye didn't even try to use his jab and don't say it was because of Rees fantastic pressure/power/speed. Rees will be schooled by Kotelnik for example. Kotelnik is serious and he will be prepared. A focused M'Baye or Witter etc. are in his league but Rees isn't.
Does Warren plan to give the title to Khan in an optional defense ? I don't know but I hope Rees will enjoy his "title" cause he will lose it quickly.

 

I'm sure he will... whether you like it or not: boxing is more politics than sport and FW/Rees have played the game well. Rees beat M'Baye - all credit to him.

 

That was the most disgusting thing I've ever seen in a ring(barring one or two porn sites!) Tileman I believe is a judge now (god help us!)
If ever a fight was a fix that was it! But then Ottke always was an UTTER DISGRACE TO BOXING!

 

all i know there were plenty of better boxers out there at 140 that deserved a shot more than Rees.

Yes he did a great job to win but at 5 foot 3 how long will he really hold the title for.
