Pardon me, what I meant to say was " pry your lips off Kirk's ****." Now that we've cleared that up...........your answer please?
I'll be civil why do you think it was the worst boxing decision in history?:goodAnd would you think it was worse than Holyfield vs Lewis I? If so why?
Ok, I admit, I used a bad choice of words in the first line. Lord knows I've seen some bad decisions. Holyfield vs Lewis was AS bad. Tonight's episode ranks right up there. In my opinion. So does the Chris John vs Marquez fight. So now I'm asking you..........in your heart, do you really feel Diaz won last nights fight?
Come on Bert Sugar of Boxrec, why was it the worst decision ever?lollease let's hear your logic. :smoke
exactly even paulie said that both him and diaz knew it was a close fight going into the championship rounds so diaz stuck to pressure and in paulies words "i kept going backwards" WHAT ****EN ELSE DO YOU GUYS WANT
It's 4:00 am in the morning here and I've been bickering with you for 2 hours. NOW YOU WANNA DISCUSS THIS???????????????
Sugar Ray Robinson could fight any man going backwards in his prime, and win. He did that on several occasions because his boxing skills allowed for it. Last night you saw PM "BOX" and win a fight tho he was not the agressor. Some 90% of this forum see's last nights fight as a robbery, along with the majority of the boxing fan base. Floyd Mayweather Jr. fought Ricky Hatton going backwards and even had he not knocked Hatton out, he was way ahead on points, as everyone knows.
I think personally it was a close fight. I agree that 118-110 was putrid. If you were to ask me should a judge like that ever judge a fight? I would say no. Was that score embarrassing for boxing? Yes, I would absolutely agree with you FanMan. But I don't think one score should really take away the notion that this was a close fight. The other scores 116-112, 115-113 were more reasonable/acceptable. Personally after re-watching the fight on HBOW, I scored the fight 115-113 for Diaz. Through the 11th I had it at dead even. I thought Diaz won the last round. Even if you don't take my word for it, Kellerman, Papa, and even Lederman had the fight 115-113, and concurred that it was a close fight and could of gone either way. It wasn't like Holyfield vs Lewis fight bro, where one guy was completely dominating the other guy, therefore I don't have a problem with Diaz winning. Could Paulie have won it? Absolutely. But fighting in someones backyard, especially in Texas is like fighting in Germany. If you don't get a KO or beat the **** out of the other guy it's going to be hard to get a decision. That's my 2c
