The thing is Martinez is hungrier. He wants that #1p4p. You won't see him coming into fights weight drained because outside of boxing he maintains his body in great shape. Jr on the other hand looked like a zombie at the weigh in and at the fight h was heavy and slow.
Even when Martinez got knocked down he fought his way to end of the round, he wasn't hugging or running. Martinez has the same heart Chavez does, plus the better style and skill. Jr got schooled. He was doing Martinez laundry for 11 rounds.
The only chance Jr has to win a rematch is to stay consistent with his training and be more disciplined, otherwise of they rematch it will be another landslide victory for Martinez.

Usually it's the fighter that loses the battle but wins the war that wins in a rematch. Just like Martinez won in the second Williams fight so honestly i think Chavez finishes him earlier. I don't think Martinez will man up for a rematch though but we will see.

Seeing the first 11 3/4 rounds of pure DOMINANCE by Martinez I don't care to see it too much. Although Chavez does have power I think Martincz chops him apart for 12 rounds again.

More like Cotto vs Margarito II: A repeat boxing clinic with just enough clinching/holding to prevent the fighter who's dominating from running out of gas.

Chavez Jr. would get stopped in a rematch; he cannnot enter a rematch with the mindset of taking punishment for 11 rounds, against a much faster counterpuncher.

The whole point of this pole is that Chavez would take a DIFFERENT approach in the rematch.

His different approach would consist of opening up more to land those big shots...which in turn makes him VERY vulnerable to be torn apart by Martinez

Right now, Martinez is obviously by far the better fighter. The only thing going for Jr. is his size and chin.

An immediate rematch would be a stupid thing for both. Both should look for one or two other targets before meeting again.

    :deal

Fight wasn't even competitive. Chavez had NOTHING. All he did was eat Martinez' punches like a fat person @ a $5 buffet.

All depends on what Martinez does. If he's going to fight like yesterday, Chavez just might get the job done. But if Martinez fights a bit smarter, he wins easily. Age is a factor in this one.
