It's all set up now for a potential loser v loser of Canelo v Smith and GGG v Brook. Tune up fight then more decent money in an all British possibly 'eliminator' at light middle. Both lads seemed keen the other week too.

Elaborate on this. How? He has no chance IMO. he was s****py as hell against Porter and did a **** ton of holding. He's not a slickster and GGG has better footwork and is a Don at cutting the ring off. The only slickster who has a chance of outpointing GGG (probably before being stopped) IMO is BJS. Willie Monroe Jr is slick as hell and even he was stopped early. Brook's only remote opportunity for success is if he lands a huge counterpunch but he has good power at WW, definitely not enough IMO to KO an iron chinned MW like GGG.
Underdog but I really wouldn't rule it out, I honestly believe Brook has levels we haven't seen yet and this fight is far from a gimme for GGG.
I do agree brook is far better than we think and has few levels to go through as well Won't be enough for GGG . going up x2 weights to supposed badest p4p is a monster task Think its a valid fight though the guys arnt much different in size. In years gone by people would fight against random weight difference.
Before the Shawn Porter fight a lot of the experts on here were adamant there was no way that Brook would get in the ring as Porter was such a beast.
I agree. Brook's main hindrance in this fight is his foot speed. He isn't elusive on his feet like a Mayweather or Khan. He is the type of fighter who stands his ground and uses subtle upper body movement and a step back to get out of trouble. Against smaller opponents this is fine, but against a monster like Golovkin, he will be in punching range to much and he doesn't have a Toney-esque defense to win this way. The only way Brook wins is if he fights in a way we haven't seen before.

It's nothing short of amazing that all of his injuries seemed to occur before taking on stiffer opposition. I mean, I picked him to beat both Alexander and Chaves but it's funny how they were the fights that had to be called off whilst Dan, Gavin and Bizier went off without a hitch.
yeah it was ridiculous not fighting when he got stabbed in the leg.he should have left the knife in and cracked on!!****
