Remember when people said ggg would beat ward?

Ward is too big for GGG but a MW version on even ground then I can see it.

Kovalev has managed to outbox Ward over several rounds and GGG is more skilled and smarter.

If GGG loses to Canelo he is done. If he beats him he is p4p king. Barring any controversy. The stakes are high.

GGG is a natural inside fighter. He just doesn't force this style but if Ward would start to come close GGG would gladly engage and rough him. GGG is simply too strong and too short for Ward.

 

i never understood how people thought GGG beats ward ?

ward is stylistically a complete nightmare for GGG

GGG has good power and likes to stalk and bully his man down by cutting off the ring and forcing the fight

ward completely negates this by smothering GGGs work and working on the inside, ward is the bigger and stronger man on the inside he would have GGG lost in there

Ward and Kovalev are still even on terms of skill and GGG has more skill and toughness then kovalev

 

GGG can and will win Ward. More skilled than Kovalev, way more durable than Kovalev, has better timing than Kovalev and has way better footwork plus has enough firepower that will be enough to win Ward.

Try copy ward in a boxing ring and maybe you'll realise how much thought process goes into everything ward does..

 

I did take a lot from Ward and I actually even defended his dirty tactics to some extent but what he did in this fight was just way too much. I can tolerate dirty fighting if both fighters are treated on equal terms but when one fighter is getting away with a murder and you know that the other one would get disqualified if he did the same things then it's just too much.

I just didn't see the great boxer Ward from maybe his fight against Froch for example.

 

Kovalev would destroy Golovkin and Ward tko's him late.. Put it this way , Danny Jacobs wouldn't see past 5 rounds against Krusher , he arguably drew with Golovkin.

 

Yes. Like he did with Jacobs. Jacobs did an excellent job in timing him up and won the battle of the inside fight.

 

Ward is too big for GGG. If Krusha Kovalev couldn't stop him GGG wouldn't either.

 

I can't see this happening.

Ward's style is nightmare for GGG, always was.

 

They will never fight each other.
