Ehhh... I'm an American, but I'm calling the fight how I saw it. It was an extremely unmanly fight performance from Andre Ward.

Maybe. But at least slightly more manly than Froch's was.

Hardly. If Carl Froch is your opponent and you turn in a snoozer you must be a pretty damn boring fighter. Froch is a TV friendly fighter how does Ward screw that up?

I don't know, how did Froch manage to land such few gloves?

Ward won wider than 116-112 which is a pretty comprehensive score in itself. Ward eased off because he damaged his hand in the fight otherwise he would have knocked Froch out. He comprehensively beat Ward at short range, mid-range and from the outside. Ward was also the stronger man which shocked Froch. He manhandled Froch on the inside. Froch could not catch him throwing a bag of rice! Froch reckless lack of technical skills irritates me. It’s a fight I watch often and show youngsters of how to fight by Ward and how not to by Froch. Nothing manly about Froch’s performance and his bitter twisted persona afterwards never wanting to give Ward credit. Ward gave Froch credit despite not having to. Ward is the bigger man, the better fighter, classier individual. Froch lacks class and is always having a go at the likes of Ward, Calzaghe and Groves who were more talented than him. Tough words, harsh words you might say but they are all warranted. Yes I feel strongly about this!

Swan Porter went down to 144 to fight Broner a few years ago.

Nah , Broner dragged him down to a CW thinking he'd be drained but Porter ended up giving him a pasting. Broner was meant to win that fight and the CW was put in place to hamper Porter..
I can agree that Porter is an average sized welter.

You're entitled to your opinion, but in my opinion it was a very unmanly performance from Ward.

Ward beat the living crap out of Froch in all departments. He fought him inside apparently Froch’s game and man handled him showing he was more manly. If you consider Ward’s performance unmanly what do you call Froch’s? You sound like a hater without objectivity who knows nothing about boxing. Guess it would be more manly if Ward just stuck his chin out to let Froch connect. If Ward was unmanly then Froch should have been able to walk through his unmanly fire and beat him. He could not which says a lot about Froch. Your comments say a lot about you. You don’t have to like Ward or be a fan of his but give unbiased opinions. Like Ward said there are things about Carl Froch to admire which I agree with unfortunately it seems Froch and the likes of you lack the class to reciprocate. Let me let you into something I never liked Sugar Ray Leonard as a man, he beat several of my boxing heroes like the great Benitez, Hearns, Duran, Hagler, Ayub Kalule however my dislike of him as a man hands down would never make me denigrate him or not give him his dues as one of the greatest fighters ever, a real natural born killer behind the good looking smile, the best fighter of his era who beat guys that were even more talented than him even though his talent was immense.

A great night in Atlantic City it was not long after my 21st birthday so I could legally drink and gamble. My brother and I made a killing on the roulette tables prior to the fight and we were excited to see the Froch fans in full support as they were in the Glen Johnson fight that we also attended where the fans passionately rallied behind Froch

We saw a young Kell Brook score an early stoppage

Donnel Holmes get dropped and lose his 0

Edison Miranda pick up a win

Early on in the fight Ward just took the play away from Froch. I honestly feel Froch didnt expect Ward to be so strong inside. Froch was throwing Dirrel around and was a very strong fighter and I just dont think he felt Ward could muscle him around the way he did. Ward was either too close or too far the whole fight for Froch to be effective. I know Froch has a little unconventional of a style and gets accused of not being skilled but he is very good boxer and Ward just took him apart

As the fight was going on we of course had no idea Wards hand was hurt and I feel Ward could actually have used his right hand more. Forum posters on here gave me **** for that saying oh hes lefty he shouldnt have to throw more rights but i felt it was a punch he could have used more and was pivotal vs Dawson and Kovalev

By the mid rounds when it was clear Froch was way behind we were already talking to fans around us discussing the prospects of a Bute vs Ward fight. I'm still disappointed the fight never happened and spent time on here calling Ward a ducker. I dont care what anyone says but Bute was the best 168lber available after the super 6 and Ward showed no interest in actually fighting him. (this isnt my way of saying he would have won).

Smoger is a great ref but I did feel by the later stages when Ward was holding a little more he should have intervened more. I like refs that let fighters in the early portion of the fight work their way out of clinches as opposed to breaking guys immediately (Bayless in the Mayweather vs Maidana II fight).

When I heard the 115-113 scores we all looked around but then heard the 116-112 or 117-111 score which sounded right and guaranteed there wasnt going to be a robbery because theres no way Froch could have gotten a score that wide.

After running through Bute, beating Kessler, and Mack I was hoping to see Froch vs Ward II

Ward never tried to hurt Froch. He avoided how toe to toe exchanges with hard punches. He didn't want to risk getting into a violent fight. It was not a manly fight.

Mad that Ward made Froch look like someone just learning to box?
