Rendall Munroe ''Give Da Binman His Props!!!''!

Didn't watch the fight but sound like he did himself proud against the best fighterin his weight class. Respect to the man, maybe he should ight someone in the top 10 of another organisation to try and gain a raanking and fight one of the other belt holders, he can definitely hold his own, and can see him picking up a world title if he gets the opportunity.

 

Yep props man .Showed plenty of heart .Nishioka's 1 at superbantamweight man so it defintley wasn't easy going into his backyard .Got everything except lacks a bit of power man .Maybe even a rematch but i'd like to see him getting a shot at another champion I think Nishioka wins a rematch but any of the other belt holders would be an exciting fight .

 

He gave it a real go and some of the rounds were close.Against a lesser champ he would have won.I just hope he dont lose too much confidence due to the loss cos he has no need to.He proved he belongs at the top level.

 

He gave it a good go and showed great courage, it wasn't nice to see him in tears afterwards, you could tell how much it meant to him. He can come back at European level, anything more than that is too much of an ask though. Anyway, great fight, he should be proud :good

I sure don't. A lacklustre Molitor beat Booth who in my opinion is that bit better than Munroe. I don't want to put the man down but I just don't think he has it at world level. I think Molitor would outbox him fairly handily, just my opinion of course.

 

Thought it was worth saying also that nishioka was aiperb. After a slowish start, his footwork and movement were superior and set up a lot if his best wirk to the body. He really started sitting down on his shots too, and it was a real pleasure watching a true world champion do his work so well

I think a key factor to take into account here as well was Munroe was away for the first time in his career.

He didn't get knocked down even though he was hurt, and in the early rounds he did acquit himself well.

Nishioka is better in my view than Molitor, and now Munroe has had a taste of world level i dont think he'll want to go back to domestic and European level.

I thought Munroe gave plenty as ever, but cant help feeling the fight could have been his had he really pushed Nishioka on to the ropes, so there's a tinge of disappointment for me there.

I have no doubts though, that if Maloney continues to steer him correctly, Rendall can come back and win a world title in future.

 

I've said it already, but Nishioka's footwork was too good for Munroe to negate Nishioka onto the ropes.

 

Well done Monroe. You were simply beaten by the better man, who is technically excellent and can bang. I think Monroe could take Molitor - who doesnt look to be on the same level as Nishiako either. I hope you can get a few more good paydays and Maloney gets you back on the road to another title - you deserve it.

Spot on. I was really impressed by Nishioka's footwork after all the pre-fight talk of his big left hand.

 

Do you think the result would have been different if the fight was in England? He couldn't push Nishioka to the ropes because he was too fast and too good on his feet. Munroe will always struggle with fast technical boxers and Molitor also falls into this category.

 

Nishioka's footwork was good, that i cant deny.

But there were times when the distance between Munroe and Nishioka was substantial, Nishioka would spin off, and instead of moving to the right and cutting the ring off quickly, Munroe continued to plod forward slowly.

Its the only thing i will criticise about Munroe today, he let Nishioka dance too much at times, i felt he needed more spring in his step to cut the ring off, because most of the time, like i said, Nishioka would move away quickly, and leave Munroe just standing there behind his guard.

Munroe could definately have negated Nishioka's footwork and speed by moving his own legs quicker and cutting the ring off more.

 

Well I dont think it helped matters. I wont say Munroe would have won, but he would have upped the ante a little more in the mid rounds if he had a few thousand of his own fans cheering him.

As for the Nishioka footwork bit, see my above response, if Munroe could have upped his own footwork he could have forced the fight a bit more.

At the end of the day its all ifs and buts, though i wasnt impressed at all by Molitor against Booth, and with Molitors size, Munroe could work his body well if they were to meet.
