Why are you trying to shift the blame on Bellew? Haye is the one who has been assuring everyone that he is fit and ready only to pull out once more. Remember Haye 2.0? I have a suspicion that Haye wanted no part of this rematch, as he was starring down the barrel of further embarrassment with the prospect of a second defeat to a blown up cruiserweight..
that probably wasn't the best way to put it. what I was trying to get at is the fact that Tony always needed that edge over Haye, he said himself that Haye is done, so I meant it probably came as no big surprise to him. I dont blame Bellew, Haye took the fight and failed to deliver, and has failed again to get through training. so in reality he needs to stop stringing the fans along, I dont know how anyone will believe he will actually make it to a fight at this point. I think Haye probably wanted the rematch but he is deluded or is so desperate for a pay day he hopes his body can get fit enough to fight someone in a lower weight class. Lets face it, the first fight he knew he was injured but thought one well placed punch would be enough, he was wrong. this time he knows he cant go in injured again. he is making a mockery of himself continuing this really.
Don't forget Shannon Briggs! This could be the opportunity he's been waiting for. For the last 20 years.
Bellew needs an opponent.... Hmmm If Eddie Hearn can sell me and the rest of the UK Cleverly Vs Bellew III.. I will regard him the greatest promoter of all times, I will call him Sir Eddie and petition for there to be a National St Edwards Day. I will also insist my first grandchild be called "Eddie" and get a tattoo of Eddies face on my left buttock.
I take your point, however what is really frustrating for any fighter, is spending 3 months in camp away from family and friends, training and dieting hard none stop only for it to be for nothing.
Its over for haye now. The only other option he has is to comeback like he initially came back. And fought at a less competitive level see where he can take it. Would be wrong for sky to give him another ppv date. Probably was after the injury the first time. Needs to get in the ring with guys he can comfortably beat. Have fun with it gradually building up training camps fighting often. That's the way all comebacks after a certain age should be. To fight at the top level you need to be training at the top level Hayes body's no longer up to it by the looks of things. He should either call it a day or go out there and prove he still has something to offer. Hes defo in the waste of time category now for me. Just wasting everyones time...seems to be in denial about it all.
Can't deal with this ffs, was so looking forward to the Hayemaker battering Bellew to a pulp. Was meant to do some cardio tonight instead just sat in my room with a bottle of JD listening to this on repeat This content is protected
Tickets booked through AXS, does anyone know if you get any of the extortionate booking fees back. My fees came to nearly 60 quid for 3 tickets.
Hopefully Haye didn't squander his money, as he'll need every penny from now on. He's completely done, IMHO. I know he loves the high-life, but he's earned an absolute PACKET during his career. Between the Chisora, Wlad, Bellew fights & his tune-up's on Dave, he must have raked in £20-30 million.
Can’t blame Hearn for not having a replacement lined up because these guys only really have each other to fight. AJ sold out 80000 at Cardiff singlehandedly without an opponent so ensuring that show went ahead was essential. Personally I’d like Haye to admit it’s all over and retire now. As for Bellew, I’d rather see him and Parker in early 2018
