Why does Tony get a pass with Parker, but not AJ/Fury/Ortiz etc? It's not on that he gets to fight blown-up CW's/small HW's. He should face one of the big boys now.
I think Bellew admits himself that he couldn’t handle the 6’7 guys... he has one fight left in him. With Parker, he gets to fight for a Heavyweight Championship plus it gives Parker more UK exposure and a KO win gives him more leverage to negotiate that 40% he wants to meet AJ
No the Ticket Agency keeps all fees and I would not be surprised if Frequent Pull Out gets a backhander from these organisations.
Don't forget maccarinelli, Ruiz, Harrison, valuev. He is still a multi millionaire even after his divorce. Like him or loathe him, he is one of the best Britain has had and were a great boxer who has done very well for himself.
Bloody hell, yeah! Forgot about those. If he doesn't have AT LEAST £15 mill in cash and some very sound investments, something is completely off. He should be set for ten lifetimes.
Good logic, but if you step up to HW then you shouldn't be going "oh he's too big! but I'll take the smaller one..." Fight ANYONE, don't pick & choose.
I had this same problem with Eventim with the Fury vs Klit rematch in Manchester in 2016, but I did get a FULL refund. See below guidance.... I would like a full refund for the tickets enclosed (including booking & insurance fees). In my view the terms in which I have entered in purchasing the tickets are unfair specifically relating to the refunding of tickets should the event be cancelled. The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA-2013) has published guidance on what it considers to be unfair contract terms and notices. Published under the 'unfair contract terms: CMA37' this document provides guidance on unfair contract terms in the Consumer Rights Act 2015. It has a list of Grey Terms used within contracts which it considers to be potentially unfair. In this instance Eventim have created a contract which I have entered whereby; in the case of the boxing event being cancelled (through no fault on my own) I have had to endure a significant loss of money. This does not meet the 'fairness test' and therefore can be considered unfair. The Office of Fair Trading (now CMA) has published a document as guidance on the 'unfair terms' in the Consumer Entertainment Contracts. It lists under Section 6.8 (Tickets for Entertainment): 'We consider that consumers should be entitled to a full refund of pre-payments in the event that the performer or activity is cancelled, rescheduled or if there is a material change to the subject matter of the contact, that is, what the consumer has contracted to see, hire or participate in.' Furthermore it goes on to say in Section 6.10, 'Where fairness requires a refund of the face value of the ticket (for example on cancellation, rescheduling or material change) any booking fees charged should also be refunded. And Section 6.12 'As suppliers generally, including ticket agencies and event promoters etc, are in a better position to insure against these losses; we consider it unfair the consumer should bear them. I hope I have demonstrated that I am entitled to a full refund. If I have to pursue this case to the CMA and in turn an Ombudsman, I will be supported in my case under unfair contract terms which as I have demonstrated is supported by the CMA & formerly the OFT. Eventim at this point did not refund my booking fees. So I wrote to an Obudsman and they then gave me a full refund. I would add that I also contact STAR (The Society of Ticket Agents and Retailers) for help and they were completely useless. Hope this helps.
I booked through Amazon Tickets, received an email from them an hour ago saying that the event has been postponed, offers of a refund etc, so I called them requesting a refund, and they've already processed it their side for the full amount including booking fees - just waiting for the funds to land back on my card now.
It's unlikely Haye will ever fight again. If he fights Bellew he will lose. Even his biggest fanboys should realize that now so I'd expect that to effect the potential viability of this fight being made for March or later as a pay per view.
The show is Haye vs Bellew, without either one there simply is no show, regardless of how good or who is to feature on the undercard, this event is the headline bout, a rematch, possible revenge....and likely the final bout for both of them. In my opinion (and many others) I don't think this fight happens at all now.
I still think it will happen, too much money in it for Haye, Bellew AND Hearn for the fight not to happen. A little suprised Haye thinks it will only take two weeks before he is recovered from torn bicep surgery, but I am no expert. If a fit Haye can get in the ring he still smashes Bellew, no doubts.
Agreed. I don't really buy the torn bicep story, I think it's the achilles hasn't healed enough, I'm a big haye fan.
