You can look at it two ways. 1. Ortiz got what he deserved for an inexcusable headbutt.
Or, 2. Ortiz got what he deserved for an inexcusable headbutt, by way of cheap shot.
Either way, he got what he deserved.

    The dirrell comparison is silly

Dirrell FAKED being ko'd, that was the issue.

Floyd broke no rules, i dont get what the fuss is about.

Also after the left hook Vic should have had his f*cking hands up the stupid ba*****.

Nothing to say you moron. You like to pick up history AFTER the foul by that dirty compulsive liar Ortiz.

The ref called "Let's Go!" Ortiz hugged, was approached by a fighter with his hands up, was hit with a left hook, kept looking at the ref, then was hit with a cross. Ortiz and Cortez are at fault.

You are the type that needs to be told what went on. You don't deserve to enter a discussion.

this has truth to it. and why not just say you feel ppl are racists by bringing up dirrell/abraham? you seem more butthurt because floyds cheap shot overshadows ortiz headbutt!

I think the fight looks fixed. Ortiz didn't even want to get up. He wanted to lose and save face.

No. Just on you for spouting complete nonsense.

Ortiz caused a crap situation. Cortez lost control of said situation. When the situation got thick, Ortiz forgot Boxing 101... Protect yourself at all times.

How many hugs and kisses does it take in a FIGHT to say sorry? How about none? A nod and a raised glove is all.

In the 1st round of the Gatti fight, Floyd hit Gatti low, then when they clinched, Floyd took the opportunity to get in a few rabbit punches.....the ref stepped in unofficially broke it up, Gatti looked to the ref for a sign that he wasn't going to allow blatant fouling so much and so early.....then Floyd, in the break hit Arturo with a similar two piece that buckled and dropped him while he was pleading with the ref.

Sure wish the old boy was here today to give us his two cents about DIRTY Floyd Mayweather.

Anyways....I won some good vcah on the fight picking the under so I can't complain, and while I wanted Ortiz to win......he's not exactly my fav fighter.:huh

i never gave dirrell any hate.... if you care to read through my posts ive given dirrell lots of love... but to be honest abrahams punch wasn't comparable to floyds. you could argue that dirrell was faking it cus abraham tapped him. theirs no arguements that ortiz was knocked oiut. that was one of the hardest punches ive seen floyd hit someone with in a while. he did it without ortiz looking. it was a sucker punch of the highest order.

dont try and compare these two.....

No what abraham did was worse and like ortiz i don't think Andre was looking or expecting the shot either.. Dirrell was in no position to defend himself and ortiz was and should have been defending himself. And your argument that Andre could have been faking due to the notion that it was a "tap" is a bit naive and disrespectful to prize fighters in general. What abraham did was pure illegal and what mayweather did was not. Bottom line is ortiz caused this and imo was beginning to loose the plot in the ring, becoming very dirty and crude. Indeed he had began ramming with his head earlier on in the fight, he finally does loose the plot and forgets the golden rule..

Nevermind the one pt. Ortiz should have been dq'd immediately. It was a blatant attempt to injure and could have indeed caused serious injury. What he did was worse than the Margo tape/glove incident. He should have his license pulled & be suspended.

time was called in and the punches were legal, its a business, and all roads lead to the pac fight, perhaps the bigest fight in boxing history, vic is a dirty fighter why take chances just put in a little work and then get him out of there.
