I'll watch Charr again. He sure looked more motivated then a lot of the past contenders. It's nice to see a fighter with balls, most of the guys that are highly ranked act as if they've never heard the name Klitschko.
Not according to the the slow motion video footage showing shoots from above and from the side - [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tSttUftRgg[/ame]
This proves my point. Vitali missed, then pulled his arm in. If you prefer, you can call it an illegal rabbit punch. Take your pick.
Yes sure he missed, that's why Charr's head was rocked and nearly hit his own right shoulder. A I see it Vitali aimed for the side of Charr's head and tried to land a legal punch but Charr ducked forward like an amateur as opposed to underneath the punch. Then Charr hit the floor. If Charr can't get out of the way of punches and keep his balance, it's his problem. A punch was thrown, it connected and then Charr hit the floor.
Charr brought nothing. Klitschko was equally embarrassing. If Charr's plan was to open up later he would of got panned out and would not of beat the 10 count. Old man Vatili was barley moving the whole fight and was popping him at will. When has it became acceptable for HW champions to defend their title against club fighters ranked above 50. The fireworks they put on for it , you didn't see for the likes of Tyson/Hoylfield. An absolute joke of a HW bout. Should never of been fought and now should be forgotten.
And then Charr climbed off the canvas & started bringing the heat to the old man, who illegally thumbed him, causing a cut which allowed Vaginatali's pet doctor to stop the fight prematurely.
Nonsense. You can clearly see Charr ducking WAAAY before Vitali even set his foot, let alone started the punch. Charr had been ducking Vitali's punches like this from the opening bell, and Vitali was probably frustrated, so he went way out to the side. Vitali's not some club-fighter, he knew what he was doing. He could easily have pulled the punch, once he realized it was aiming for the back of Charr's head, but he didn't. And tell me why the ref called it a KD. Even if you want to pretend it was an accident, it's still a blatantly illegal (and dangerous) punch. The ref was clearly on the take. This whole thing stinks, any way you look at it. Unless you're munching on Vitali's sack, of course.
FFs ,where do all these fan boys come from.Charr was a fat, lazy heavyweight like all the rest but the Klit Bros. Charr had no idea what he was doing in the same ring with this giant.A total mismatch.
This could go on and on and on. Charr lurched forward with his forehead down (headbutt risk) and his hand over his head. We can agree to disagree but I don't think Vitali was aiming for the back of his head. Yes Charr didn't seem to be hurt but if a Boxer's head gets rocked hard to one side and then he hits the canvas, the ref has to make a decision. It was hardly that close on points that 1 more point for a knockdown would make any difference. You could say if the ref was on Vitali's side he would throw Charr back in as soon as possible to give Vitali the best chance possible of KO'ing Charr. I'm no Vitali nut, neither Boxer put on a great show but I never saw Vitali in any real danger. Charr has got balls and kept going forward, even Vitali in the post fight interview gave him credit for this. Arguing on the internet isn't going to prove anything, only Charr can prove how good he is. It was unfortunate that the fight was stopped - I too wanted it to go on. Let's hope Charr get's another chance to show what he can do against a top ranked Heavyweight.
I thought both men were awful that night. Vitali was sloppy as hell....I also wondered if he was carrying Charr. Charr was way too defensive, just stood there in peek-a-boo fashion. Someone more coordinated would slice that defense up. I'd like to see Charr vs. Solis, with the winner to get another shot, seeing these are the two guys who were TKO'd on injuries but have been proclaimed somehow as being giant killers.
