For a long time I was on the fence regarding Froch, As a Calzaghe fan his calling out & general critisms of JC used to **** me off a bit but over the course of this super 6 I have gained alot of respect for him as a fighter & more so as a man. In regards to Ward I knew he was talented but again the super 6 has really profiled what an exceptional fighter & person he is. I think that sat. night was just a bridge to far for Froch & he came up against someone ,who's technical abilty coming forward & superb defence made him look very slow & robotic. I have never thought Froch was a technically great boxer but his heart & balls attitude have grown on me throughout this tourney & his resume is as good as anyones out there. He was gracious in defeat (unlike wanker Khan) & you could sense his frustration in the post fight interview about simply not being able to get to grips with Ward I have to say that if Ward had the punch he would be right up there with the best of them at the top end of the p4p list. I would have him in the top 10 p4p imo anyway. I liked the in-fight respect Ward showed Froch in the 12th classy touch for a very classy fighter. Ward now has the opportunity to cement his place in the bigtime & I for one will be glad to see it
It was good to watch 2 fighters give it their all albeit with very different styles & both be humble & respectful post fight too. Your man Froch has reached his plateu imo & has gained respect in doing so....no shame in loosing to someone as technically good as Ward no shame at all.
