Thank you for starting this thread, Moparfan. Just the other day I saw one of JG's posts and wanted to say I missed him. [yt]g0_HOWlGD6o[/yt] "Beatdown" is exaggerating. I remember in the video he was cautiously praising how Guerrero had done. He also later predicted Guerrero would look like a straightforward plodder against Floyd. Which was, of course, entirely correct.
wow, didnt even realize he was gone, till now. He was at the top of the short list of posters i have real respect for. he was all class.
Oh, ****...I hadn't heard about ClubFighter's passing. Brooklyn was a fantastic poster, too. RIP to all.
A couple years back, yeah. There was a Lounge thread in tribute when it happened. Nowadays without the possibility of creating something like that, it has become difficult to keep track. A fairly active poster from the British forum passed away last year as well, but the name escapes me.
his stories were awesome. he did one on srr while sugar was training. it was like you were there when you read it
Still the best guy i have seen on any boxing forum. Unfortunately enough i only had the chance to have a few interactions with him, but the way he respectfully got his opinion across... i can only respect and admire. Also anytime he told a story i could only listen in awe.... the man just radiated wisdom, and had this rare talent to make his tales seem like you were there yourself. RIP Joe
