1 or 2 question marks ... lol....are you Mexican by chance? First of all, as claimed by others, he is not a three world weight champion - his fight against Fielding was the ultimate cherrypick (any of those who have seen Fielding fight you'll know). The WBA (regular) title is, in reality, not a real world title, anyone who considers it to so is talking out of their ass (we used to have one world champion, now we have 4 sanctioning bodies with multiple world titlists, come on?!). These are Canelo's TOP opponents on his resume - Mosley, Trout, Mayweather, Lara, Cotto, Khan, Chavez Jr, Golovkin... now of course you can say just because of their names Canelo has a great resume...but it's more than that, each of these opponents were a cherry pick or the result of the fights are controversial. He lost against Mayweather (late 30s), Golovkin (late 30s), Lara and arguably Trout. Mosley, Cotto and Chavez Jr were clearly passed it in their fights with Canelo. That leaves Khan, a natural light welterweight who was being outboxed by Crawford, who outboxed Canelo prior to be KTFO....him fighting up in weight to suit the needs of Golden Boy. An early 30s late 20s GGG would have laid Canelo unconscious like Jose Cotto almost did - everyone was ducking GGG during this period, everyone seems to be forgetting/dismissing that...
No, I'm British. Believe me, I'm not a Canelo fan (though I don't dislike him either) and some of his nuthuggers on this board do my nut in with their GGG character assassination campaign. I was just trying to be balanced and diplomatic. I do consider that he deserves some respect for his achievements and his opposition, but I am well aware that he has had his share of 'cash cow' privileges. I am also aware that Oscar's cash can tempt fighters into wanting the Canelo fight despite the disadvantages they will face, which is a lot more appealing than potentially getting laid out by a prime triple G for a quarter of the money.
