Dude GGG got a draw then lost, nobody is going to be talking about him down the line so he has no real legacy, but if anything it’ll will be the first time he fought a high quality fighter he loss

I think ggg is a good fighter. And both canelo fights were close and I could see him winning them.

However, some points against him in a legacy sense.

    1. His resume isn’t totally strong. People already mentioned the chenko and jacobs fight being too close for an atg.

    2. his fights with canelo, although it’s arguable he won both in my eyes, it exposed some things about ggg. Canelo took away some of his strengths which includes his power which disspeared, a lot of hesitancy, took little risks, no body punching, a little fearful of counter punching, did not cut ring off. These strengths also somewhat disappeared in any live opponent which includes the Jacobs and lemieux fight. In a head to head sense against atgs, imo ggg didn’t give out alot of good tape to argue. Even though canelo great, there’s alot of slick and skilled atgs that don’t have stamina problems that would give ggg work imo.

bull****. ggg didnt mind exchanging with all the stiffs any chance he got, but in his final exam, all of a sudden he wants to be sugar ggg? the man came up on someone not willing to fold, and he had to bend himself. i saw how he reacted to getting punched back in the mouth, i saw the killer in him looking for answers, and coming up empty. people can pretend all they want, protect their feelings all they want, but theres a perfectly good reason canelo is where he is today, and where ggg is at today also. and it all played out in the ring, where the gum flappin stops.
now you can argue that ggg was past prime, that everyone avoided him in his hour, that he would have beaten all those who were avoiding him, that judges this and judges that...fact is, he had 24 rds to prove his superiority on a guy moving up to fight him, who then moved past him like he was sitting still, and he came up short because (insert excuse here).

He didn't come up short, he just failed to get the KO, and that's what it will take. Two Great fights, the wrong guy came out on top.The worst case scenario it should have been a win and a draw for GGG. He didn't fail.

thats just it, the right man won. thats why we have an undisputed super middleweight champ for the first time. cause the right guy got it done. i was all high on ggg at one time too. but my feelings werent personal, or hero worship, they were an appreciation for the way the man worked. what i see now isnt personal either, its a product of how hes handled his claims since. even when i was all hard watching him knock over bowling pins, i knew they were bowling pins. i just figured he would eventually prove his worth against an a level fighter too. then when he faced resistance, he took his ball and went home. why isnt he moving up to take down canelo, like the fighter people thought he was would? thats what a fighter who thinks hes better would do. even if hes past prime, he should still be the guy he was selling all those years. instead i gotta hear all the excuses from his surrogate moms on the boxing forums about why hes being a diva. like i said, i was a ggg fan too, but i dont cuck for nobody.

Too bad Canelo couldn't do it without the cheating & corruption. GGG EARNED everything he got plus he got screwed out of his middleweight titles. Ginger has NEVER LEGITIMATELY beaten him & Ginger knows it

yes, cj, we all know how you feel. i dont bother much with feelings, they get in the way of reality. and reality is that canelo moved past the thing that holds you back, he went on to bigger better things. and ggg, wellll........

Not true at all & you know it.. GGG legitimately beat Ginger TWICE & got blatantly screwed over by Vegas & NSAC corruption. If he'd fought fair & legitimately beaten GGG Id be the first to congratulate him & call him champ, But he didn't. Everything he's done since then is worthless. he's just a paper champion & a coward to boot

yeah, no feelings there, lol. i saw the fights, i understand boxing well enough to understand what is happening and why its happening. i gave ggg the edge in the first fight, but clearly lost the second one. clearly. no amount of lobying by ggg's fans is going to change what i saw and understood. im not bothered that his fans feel he beat canelo, i dont spend my time telling all of them how wrong they are. cause i dont care, im not emotionally invested in what they think. im fine knowing what i know, regardless of who feels different. it doesnt affect me.
