Review of top 15 Heavyweights.

What's your criteria?

 

I tried to do a top 50.

Things have altered some since then, and I really do have Holmes too low, even though he would still not be too five, and I would still have a hard time putting him in the top ten. The resume just isn't there.

 

Nice list only one I’d replace is Sullivan with Jeffries. Might argue about placement like others but it’s pretty good overall as the 3-12 is pretty much up to preference you could make an argument to drop Tunney for Wills or Langford

 

Honsetly? Drop Marciano down to about 13th or 14th

 

I think Marciano is far to high at number 3 but 13th is a bit of a stretch.

 

Think anywhere between 3-7 is fine. When discussing the next ten or so after the 2 spot it’s a matter of opinion..

These kinds of lists are always debatable. Most here know that I don't like Tunney at all, so I'll not comment on him. Certainly Sam Langford and Vitali Klitschko and James J. Jeffries should be considered as top 15 candidates. I understand Fury, and others, being off the list, who are still active. If you decide to expand to 20, I'd take a look at Max Baer and Max Schmeling. All in all, I think you have a decent top 15 there.

I look at the fighters on that list and have a hard time coming up with many wins for Rocky

 

Maybe H2H but in terms of legacy, very few have him beat.
