Really? He is gonna have to be lunging forward attacking hard in order to do that. He will get countered hardcore to dish out some pain, he may not be able to stay on his feet Floyd has pop when needed.
Are you part of Mayweather's marketing team getting paid or do you just not have a life? Enough with these ***** ****** gathering threads
Floyd is 37 dude. I don't know how he'll react to a young strong pressure fighter in his face the whole time. Maidana has a different style of pressure than Guerrero or Cotto. He has that reckless abandon type of pressure, while they have smart pressure. And I remember saying that for these last 6 fights, Im not judging Floyd based on his last fight. Because he's getting a year older every year. He could get old at any time. Hope not, but its not like we haven't seen that before.
I'm at Starbucks on University near NYU. Waiting for my girlfriend. Just passing the time. If you don't like, don't click.
Didn't learn much about Mosley in that fight, learned a lot more about Mayweather. I've always said it's a big misconception that he never gets hit, the truth is he rarely gets hit FLUSH, and that's what Mosley did. However, it was the 2nd punch that seemed more devastating, people always seem to remember the 1st shot, I remember the 2nd one is the one that really buckled him. I also remember Mayweather landing a terrific bodyshot that almost dropped Mosley in the 10th(not too many people talk about it, or ven noticed it for that matter).
this fight was fought for money and legacy set aside. if mosley fought fmj like he fought margarito, he could have won this one in my opinion. there was no fire in him to follow up after he hurt him and losing to the supposed no 1 p4p even via ko is of no shame. there are just a lot of questions for this fight.
I know Nazim Richardson watched Floyds whole career in the run up to this fight. He said he studied each and every one of Floyds fights in detail.
:nono It's a lot easier to keep punching when your opponent is blocking your punches with his face. But throwing your power shots against someone who is either constantly blocking them or constantly making you miss completely can be draining not just physically but mentally. That was why the fire got extinguished. In the 2nd rd Mosley thought he was about to do the unthinkable but found out quick that Floyd wasn't gonna just laydown after a couple solid shots.
If Mosley wanted to follow up, he had his chance cause after those shots Floyd didn't take a backwards step. He marched on Mosley's, ass like a man on a mission and actually won the rest of that round. Mosley didn't have to look for him cause he was right there in his face and deep in that ass.
