are you saying hatton cheats because he holds? or can you accept that it's a smart move for a fighter who can fight but isn't as skilled as his contemporaries. i've alreadsy talked to you about whining about fighters who have achieved more than you have in life - but you still want to keep coming back with judgments about them. grow up.
i'm posting straight to you - as i always have done. there's a great irony in someone sitting at their computer judging a fighter who makes concessions as to how they defend themselves..and then you having the gall to say that "it comes back to haunt them"... i don't care if it's someone comentating rugby, boxing or any other sport...but i have a low threshold for anyone who wants to throw judgments around about a sport they are a fan of but haven't tried themselves.
I personally have a low threshold for the type of condescending bull**** you post, but there we go. This is a boxing forum, one should expect critique and praise of fighters - it kinda comes with the territory. If I hurt your feelings feel free to PM me and threaten me as you usually do.
What you're basically saying is "It's ok for someone to use cheap tactics as long as his opponent is better than him, for balancing purposes." Your opinion is now void. It's one thing to hold only for the purpose of catching a breath, or getting in a quick shot. It's another thing to hold and throw elbow after elbow, low blows, and basically wear your opponent down not by boxing, but by illegal shots. Watch the Tszyu fight, Hatton landed so many shots (but 20-30% of them were elbows and other rough housing tactics) Dirty fighter, get over it.
Both Malignaggi and Mayweather both highlighted Hatton's holding as excessive and an issue for the referee to deal with prior to their fights. It's not just TFFP that doesn't like how Hatton has a tendency to wrestle and grapple on the inside.......
Hatton is trying to move away from the holding tactics under the mayweather senior training. I have to admit it was hard to watch some of his fights (the collazo fight in particular )
i agree one of the most inconsistent (or the most) he is the worse referee i ever saw. I mean how much did he let hopkins get away with compared to hatton? disgracfull refereeing from cortez
It doesn't bother me I usually find Hatton's fights to be entertaining even when he does hold. Whatever works for him I guess........
mayweather tore him up inside anyway watch the fight mayweather systematically breaks him down worked the body beautifully inside.
People forget that everytime Cortez let them fight on the inside, Hatton NEVER did anything to Floyd.
Very true Mayweather beat Hatton at his own game which really surprised me as i thought Floyd would be running away all night. Made me look at Mayweather in a new light.
