He landed the cleaner shots wether you want to accept it or not...So yes, compared to what Rios actually did in this bout, he landed the more cleaner shots...So now we should just neglect how to score fight now?? Ring generalship, defense and clean and effective punches win you rounds correct?? so with that being said...there is no way possible you could just award Rios this bout if you were to actually break it down...Where was Rios ring generalship?? Why couldnt Rios cut down the ring and pin Abril in a corner to slow him down? Why did Rios let Abril tie him up on the inside and not fight him off once Abril tried to tie him up on the inside??? These are things you have to take into consideration in which you're clearly trying to downplay because you didnt like how Abril performed! Abril landed shots on Rios as he came in...Again, just because you dont want to accept it doesnt mean it didnt happen. Rios and his corner looked shocked once he was called the winner...That instance there told me all I need to know about this highway robbery.
I said they were not effective punches because they didn't bother Brandon in the least. I didn't say they didn't land. The criteria is clean effective punches. The punch must be both to count. Not just one. Where was Abril's ring generalship? He couldn't stop Rios from getting inside because his punches were ineffective and once he let Rios inside he tied up. Again, I'm not saying the punches weren't clean, but since they lacked effectiveness the second half of the criteria to score it, effective, was simply not there. One judge agrees with your way of scoring, two didn't. I know you prefer to think the judges were dishonest but the truth is probably simpler. Rios simply outworked Abril on the inside with his free hand in the opinion of two judges.
Thats all you got Hermit??? So you act as if the judges are correct all the time??? Abril ring generalship limited Rios punch output and limited him from scoring...His generalship also allowed him to tie Rios once Rios got on the inside...Also his ring generalship allowed him to fight his fight while Rios struggle to keep up...Abril set the pace of the fight so yes he did show ring generalship...And can you please tell me what round specifically you saw Rios outworked Abril because thats a flat out lie!
It's as good as calling holding ring generalship. Yeah, great illegal tactic to use over 80 times in a 12 round fight.
When you get through my man...Rios could have fought off the clinches. So that excuse isnt gonna cut! And could you please tell me which specific round Rios got on the inside and did some work??? I've yet to get your answer for that one because I dont seem to remember that at all!
Told ya, I ain't watching that shitfest again. You call the refs corrupt but what about the ref that allowed Abril to hold 86 times? Right guy won this fight even if it was for the wrong reason. **** ref caused the controversy. Had he done his job correctly we wouldn't even be having this conversation.
Get together and reinforce your beliefs. But as before, your side was out voted 2 to 1 in the only vote that counted. You wanna believe the judges were corrupt/incompetent and the ref gets a free pass? Sure, why not.
i had this fight 118-110 to Abril, i cant appreciate i guy who hurls forward with his head down swinging for Mr luck, but i do appreciate a guy who boxes and nullifies his opponents offense whilst out scoring him cleanly, the least i could give is 117-111
