warren owns the purse rights. he fights sep 4th or gets striped and burns fights the next available contender.

 

Which if he is available would be Thailand's Terdsak Jandaeng I believe. Last fought in May.

Burns is REALLY up against it for this one.

 

I'm positive Ricky will beat him. Ricky is special. Genuinely think that. He's got an unusual style but I think he'll be too good for Martinez.

 

seriously anyone thats saying Burns 100% wins is a delusional scot that hasn't watched martinez since the cook fight. its a very very very tough fight for a guy that hasn't faced anyone above domestic level. Martinez is 10x better than anyone else Burns has faced. He is a massive underdog.

Rob/ Gaz I respect urs too but I just think Rick has a lot more to offer then you guys have seen thus far. Hope he does it. Maybe heart ruling head- i'm prone to that, but honest watching him in the gym was something else.

well mate if you see what i see daily in the gym you'd be very impressed and since burns has been with me hes improved bundles ask his opponents and sparring partners.IMO ricky will win this fight if he sticks to the plan we've got,you really have'nt seen the best of ricky burns yet honestly. Tell me who's even close to him at 130lbs in the UK?:good

 

I think Burns will win LHL, Martinez is dangerous if you let him hit you, but Ricky Burns as I have said before here has a Buchananesque defence when he uses it, & I can see Ricky box his way to victory if he doesnt get tempted into slugging it out, which there is always a danger of fighting in front of his own fans on the biggest scottish stage of them all.

Without Frank warren, scottish boxing would be in an awful state. Im not afraid to admit that an englander is the saviour of scottish boxing, without Warren its frightening to think the state scottish boxing would be in, & I thank him for keeping the sport afloat up here.

Tommy Gilmour & Alex Morrison are but useless morons who couldnt deliver the big fights if they tried, scottish boxing would be nothing nowadays without Frank Warren delivering the big fights.
